How to unlock the Fledgling Collector achievement in MONSTER HUNTER: WORLD - Definitive Guide

To be able to find a treasure you must first reach level 6 unity with the felyne tribe for their region (bugtrappers = ancient forest, boaboa = hoarfrost reach etc.). When you do, you will unlock 'pawswap' for that tribe and the next time you visit the area there should be a paw icon holding a gem in their lair (also a fast travel point). When you talk to them you can choose to swap items. Each item will cause the cats to react differently. You want to choose an item that makes them hop and beg with their paws out. I always had luck with generic stuff I bring on quests like mega potions, max potions, barrel bombs, traps and tranq bombs. As long as they're hopping you should get a treasure tip within your first 3 trades (limited to 3 per quest). The treasures themselves are not particularly hard to find. If you wander around the area enough your palico will give you hot/cold hints, eventually they can even find the exact location if you get close enough.

What is the best way to level these guys to 6? I never bothered with them before and it seems like this will take forever now.

The easiest way might be to go on an expedition to their home region, recruit one of the tail raiders and then return (you might have to wait until 3 mins have passed for it to count). I already had them maxed at 5 so I barely noticed getting them to 6 past normal exploring I did, sorry

U don't have to wait three minutes. I use crown sniping as an excuse and if the monster is not a potential crown I go to their camp, recruit them, and immediately return from expedition.

The boa boa give you a palico gadget that lets you call one to you. Every mission just call one as soon as you start and unity will go up very quickly.

There is a really easy way to raise unity with the tail raiders fast. You have to make a build with Mushroom-Mancer and Wide Range. Then recruit one of them an eat a blue mushroom, then go to the handler and go to Collect Rewards in the camp. You can max out any tail raiders in just a few minutes. I also had most of the parts for the build from the get go as well.

They are invisible interactables that give a prompt to pick up "xyz treasure" (look at one of the vids to see). What you actually get can be quite range of things from what I remember, materials and items for sure, tracks I'm not sure about, possibly endemic wildlife as well.

FYI - your guild card will show you what level your Tailrider Unity levels are on the Palico tab. If you're not at level 6 yet, you can easily grind up the levels as long as you have the Palico gadget, Tailrider Signal, which you get from the Boa Boa in the new region (requires completing a hunt in the new region on an Expedition, and a short quest to hunt a Tempered Beotodus).

Once you have the tool, make sure you have the skill Wide Range (even one deco is fine) equipped. Travel to any region and move outside the camp, use the Tailrider signal, wait till he spawns in and then use a Mega Potion which will heal him. Now fast travel to another region and repeat, you should get about 20-50% of a level each time.
