How to unlock the I Am the Reinforcements achievement in MONSTER HUNTER: WORLD - Definitive Guide

I Am the Reinforcements - Respond to an SOS flare, and help complete 10 quests.

For this achievement, the quest length, quest specifics, and number of players do not matter. It's 10 culmulative quests where you get dropped in that matter. Failing does not count, and killing or capturing creatures doesen't matter as long as the quest is completed, the method is irrelevant.

In order to go on a Sortie of this type, go to either your Guildmarm (lady at the canteen) or any of the quest boards around Astera:

Go to: Join a Quest,
Respond to SOS,
You can set preferences (for expediency go to Difficulty and switch it to Low Rank),
Search for SOS Flares,
Pick any of the quests that appear (not expeditions though as they do not count),
And ready up for departure. Complete the quest, and 1/10 is done!

No as long as you're there for the ending.

It felt long for me but getting in on the tempered hunts or captures to work towards other chovins are decent anyway

Does this have to be 10 in a row or 10 responding to the same SOS?

Just wondering if I can do this in 10 different session responding to 10 different SOS or if all 10 have to be from the same SOS.

It's 10 seperate instances. When you go to quest board just hit "Respond to SOS"

Cool, thanks. It seems next to impossible to keep a party together after an SOS so good thing. The wording of the achievement makes it seem like it would be the other way

Quick question - does that 10-minute gap for rewards matter? It's a bit confusing when I hover over the quest and it says "joining now will not count as completing" or whatever it actually says.

When you go to a quest board, you can choose to Join a Quest.
Once in, choose Respond to SOS.
You can then set filters (if you want) and enact a search.
Next you should see a quest category list and you can choose what quest you would like to join.
Then depart on the quest like you would when you Post and you will enter somebody else's quest.
Succeed in that quest and you will be one quest closer to this trophy.
Have fun and good luck!

To respond to an SOS flare, you'll need to be in Astera. Approach the quest board, and select "Join Quest" and then "Respond to SOS" to see a list of players looking for help. It may take a few tries for any results to come up, so keep trying, as there are always players available even if the search doesn't work right away. Actually joining someone can also be finicky, so keep trying to find one that works.

Once you're in, simply complete the quest with the other player(s), and repeat nine more times. Be sure to try and get some Guild Cards while you're questing online. And always be a friend and send yours out!

Responding to an SOS signal means connecting to a network game with other players. Please note that the difficulty increases in proportion to the number of players participating in the hunt. This is true even when you give the SOS signal. Also, if you connect too late to the session, you may not be credited for it.

The system does not count how many players are connected to the session, if you play alone, then the monster has x1 indicators, if more than one, then x4

AlexZ25's hint is no longer relevant, difficulty for two people has been added
For example, in the quest Hunt for the Greatest Jagras, the amount of health (hp) of the Jagras
1 player 16,390
2 players 27,236
3 or 4 players 40,565.
