Master Rank are unlocked early on in the Icborne campaign. Simply capturing 50 monsters while on a Master Rank quest ( weakening the monster and then using traps to contain the monster instead of killing it) will net you the achievement.
The monsters do not have to be new monsters or part of the expansion, any target within a Master Rank quest is fair game.
