You are tasked with tracking a monster to the Elder's Recess. Upon accepting the mission, a lengthy cutscene plays and you briefly have to explore a new area before another cutscene. Once the second scene is over, you have effectively completed the mission and can end the expedition right there. There is no need to fight the introduced monsters. On the mission end screen, you unlock the achievement.
