This will take awhile, but if you're going for the other achievements this should come without the need to grind. I had already 3 starred all levels in the first level worlds and was half way in to the 4th world (Frozen Mellow) when this finally popped for me.
Again, there is really no need to grind this out, but if you want, just pick a level like Yellow Jello 4 which has two very easy to kill monsters. You can also work towards the following achievement if you don't have it.

If you want to grind it, I found Purple 57 good for this. It has 2 monsters and is pretty quick to finish. I played up to that level, then replayed it about 15 times and it popped for me.

For those who are curious about which level they should expect this around (since the game is glitchy at times and does delete saves and progress every so often for no apparent reason), I got this today at Frozen Mellow 46 with minimal replays of levels (so had I played a perfect run of the entire game with no replays, I assume I would have gotten this a few levels after Frozen Mellow 46). Hope this helps folks :)

If like me you've been playing this game more casually (it's kinda hard not to) and not doing more than a few levels at a time, you probably haven't unlocked this achievement yet. I had made it through the first two levels without even unlocking the Kill 100 Monsters achievement. It appears that every time you shut down the game, the kill count is reset, so the best course of action is to get the three monster kill achievements (as well as the Kill 40 Enraged Monster achievement) in one sitting. Using Senior Chupon's recommendation, I was able to get all four achievements in about an hour and a half on Frozen Mellow #4.
