This achievement is story related and pretty simple. As you play, you'll gain stars which work towards unlocking new areas. The desert landscape is the first additional zone you will unlock. Once you've reached 20 stars to unlock the desert landscape, open it up and the achievement will pop immediately.

well right now i have 3 stars and it says 17 to unlock a new world so i suppose it must be 20.
