In Part 3 of Chapter 1, you'll be Controlling B.O.B. After a short segment where the tutorial takes you through how to swallow and spit items, you'll unlock a door. Once you go through this door, you'll have to go up the walls and ceiling to trigger a button. When you've done this, you'll be taken onto a turret segment.
The tutorial will tell you to how to use the shield to protect B.O.B. by using the Left Trigger (LT). Do so, and the achievement will pop. During this first turret scene, I recommend you also go for the following achievement:
The Machine Gun Specialist achievement in Monsters vs Aliens worth 22 pointsComplete one B.O.B. Turret sequence without being hit.
