How to unlock the Conservationist achievement in Moonglow Bay - Definitive Guide
For this achievement, you need to catch three different fish and then release them. The three fish you need to find are:
Name fish: Location - Lure | Type - Size - Depth - Weather
Atlantic Halibut: Open Chill - Plug | Strong - Large - Deep - All
Bluefin Tuna: Open Chill - Spinner | Poise - Medium - Deep - All
Atlantic Cod: Bay Waters - Jig | Strong - Small - Medium - All (terrett101: between 0-5am)
Once you have caught one, you have the choice to keep () or release () the fish. Release one of each fish listed above to unlock the achievement.
MattyMoore08 notes in the comments that this needs to be done with a rod specifically. I can't confirm this, but use the rod if the achievement doesn't unlock with other means of fishing (fishing line or net).

Additional confirmation requested for this solution (if you or anyone else knows it): It seems you need to research the fish before it counts, but do they also all have to be released in one session? (Either one time of playing or one time on the boat?)

Might be worth noting that the Atlantic Halibut can only be caught between midnight and 5am.
