Do note some levels might have warped rooms that have a different look than the one you entered (you're in desert dungeon but one room is from the forest). These do not count as the book you were supposed to get from that level. Sometimes I've only had that room to be warped.
Golem, forest, desert and tech dungeons have three books each. Most likely you will get the achievement after tech dungeon level 3 once you've opened the book.
The, Pants, Party
There are 24 total notes in the game to read. You will find two on each of the three floors inside the four dungeons. One note will be on a desk in each of Crazy Pete's camp rooms, and one note will be on the floor of the rejuvenating pool rooms. You only need to read each individual note once to unlock the achievement.
PainOfDemise
During your exploration in the dungeons, you'll come across notes in the tent and recovery pool areas. These are notes left behind by Crazy Pete. There are three floors to each dungeon, and each floor has a tent area and a recovery pond to find. Read both notes on all three floors in all four dungeons.
You will also find other notes that are dropped from skeletons lying around. These are not needed for the trophy.
