How to unlock the Horde Mode achievement in Moonlighter - Definitive Guide
- The "enemy wave" rooms consist of a pillar and an empty slab. If you activate the pillar, enemies will turn up, and when you finish the wave a chest will be unlocked. Don't open the chest if going for the achievement since it will destroy the pillar.
- Activating the pillar again and defeating the enemies will upgrade the rarity of the chest, upgrading the quality of the items within.
- Activate the pillar and defeat the enemies a total of four times (the achievement description is mislabeled: it's four waves, not three) and the achievement will unlock.
There is no way to trigger secret rooms, you'll just need to keep doing dungeons until they show up. There's also no way to know which type of room you'll get.
As expected, the wave room will be easier to defeat the lower the level of the dungeon you're doing it in.
Wave Rooms are found in secret areas (see "No Secrets") and will have a stone in the middle of the room that can be interacted with with a chest next to it. Each time you interact with it, enemies will spawn and at the end of the wave of enemies, you can open the chest in the room or begin another wave by interacting with the stone again. The chest will increase in rarity with each wave, so continue to interact with the stone instead of opening it. Upon defeating the final wave, the achievement will unlock.
A Wave Room is a secret room with the pillar in the middle. Use the pillar and it will activate 3 portals that enemies will come out. You must do this four times. Each time you do, the chest you receive will be upgrade from bronze, silver, gold, and then red. Once you complete the final wave of enemies during your fourth use, the trophy will unlock.
As soon as you enter the room, a sparkle will appear in this gap, signaling that there is a secret room there. Or you can just jump at random)
