How to unlock the Horde Mode achievement in Moonlighter - Definitive Guide

In the secret rooms that can be found in pits
MoonlighterNo SecretsThe No Secrets achievement in Moonlighter worth 19 pointsFind a secret room 10 times
there are sometimes "enemy wave" rooms.

- The "enemy wave" rooms consist of a pillar and an empty slab. If you activate the pillar, enemies will turn up, and when you finish the wave a chest will be unlocked. Don't open the chest if going for the achievement since it will destroy the pillar.

- Activating the pillar again and defeating the enemies will upgrade the rarity of the chest, upgrading the quality of the items within.

- Activate the pillar and defeat the enemies a total of four times (the achievement description is mislabeled: it's four waves, not three) and the achievement will unlock.

There is no way to trigger secret rooms, you'll just need to keep doing dungeons until they show up. There's also no way to know which type of room you'll get.

As expected, the wave room will be easier to defeat the lower the level of the dungeon you're doing it in.

So, I've done this a number of times now; I've defeated all four of the waves until there is only the ruby chest and the pillar disappears. The achievement still hasn't unlocked for me. Is there a difficulty minimum requirement for the achievement to unlock? ...Now that I think about it, I've also found far more than 10 secret rooms and "No Secrets" hasn't unlocked for me either.

The game seems to sometimes have problems with tracking achievements in general, and there's no tried and true solution that I know of (other than starting a new game, and making backups so you don’t need to start over from scratch if the save starts acting weird.) See Bug List (Or, Things not to do)

Hey everyone, just a quick video explaining the No Secrets and Horde Wave achievements. The secret areas in this game look like sparkling lights over pits, and only show up when you first walk into the room. When you jump down, you'll get one of a few areas, and can then just climb out via the rope. When going for Horde Mode, keep clicking the pillar to upgrade the chest and summon more enemies. Would recommend beating the Golem Dungeon prior to attempting, good luck and hope it helps!

For this you have to find sparkly patches over holes in dungeons, out of the 5 possible rooms you will want to look for a pedestal you can interact with starting a wave of enemies. afterwards make sure to re-activate the pedestal and NOT the chest until the pedestal collapses leaving just a purple chest.

Wave Rooms are found in secret areas (see "No Secrets") and will have a stone in the middle of the room that can be interacted with with a chest next to it. Each time you interact with it, enemies will spawn and at the end of the wave of enemies, you can open the chest in the room or begin another wave by interacting with the stone again. The chest will increase in rarity with each wave, so continue to interact with the stone instead of opening it. Upon defeating the final wave, the achievement will unlock.

A Wave Room is a secret room with the pillar in the middle. Use the pillar and it will activate 3 portals that enemies will come out. You must do this four times. Each time you do, the chest you receive will be upgrade from bronze, silver, gold, and then red. Once you complete the final wave of enemies during your fourth use, the trophy will unlock.

Almost every room in the dungeon has a chasm that you can fall/jump into. This is where the secret rooms are located.
As soon as you enter the room, a sparkle will appear in this gap, signaling that there is a secret room there. Or you can just jump at random)

The secret room is located in the abyss in the dungeon. The sparks that appear for a couple of seconds above the desired abyss when you first enter the room can help you identify which one.
