How to unlock the Innocence achievement in Moonscars - Definitive Guide
This is the second named boss you will encounter in the game. It is found in the bowels of the High Castle behind a locked gate that you won’t be able to access until you speak with Yadwiga in the Gynaeceum and get a key to open the way to her left.
It’s a funny boss - and one you probably won’t need much help with to be honest.
I recommend making use of the Slashing Dash Gemstone (available from the Mould). It’s especially useful in the second phase.
Gniewko takes the form of one of those little flying baby enemies. It moves around the multi level arena firing tracking projectiles at you that are quite slow and easily avoided/dashed through. Occasionally it spawns a blue copy of itself that fires non tracking shots at you from a distance. Whenever that happens go hunt it down and kill it with either a special attack or regular combo, and return to Gniewko.
Whittling down the health of Gniewko can be quite slow, even using Special attacks (I used Whirlwind) so be prepared for this process to rinse repeat a few times.
Eventually, the platforms will collapse leaving you fighting on the ground. The blue baby copy will be out of reach above you firing shots whilst Gniewko will transform in to something reminiscent of one of the tentacle slapping enemies that you will have encountered already.
You want to be jumping toward Gniewko and doing double Light Attacks to the head in mid air with an immediate dash straight after. Then turning around and doing the same thing back in the opposite direction.
Continue this over and over until Gniewko gets weakened (he will transform a couple of times before this), then keep going some more and you will seize victory.
