How to unlock the Lost Friend achievement in Moonscars - Definitive Guide
Wanda is found in The Depths in the bottom-left corner of the map. Make sure to rest at the Corpse Pits Mirror for quick access to the boss area.
The fight is started by attacking the non-hostile Wanda you find surrounded by idle clayborns. She will then transform into ‘Sweet Wanda’ and the boss fight will begin.
In her first phase, Wanda has 3 moves: a targeted ‘stab’ in the direction of the player, which is always followed up with a second ‘stab’, an AOE attack which is sometimes followed up with a wider AOE attack (indicated by Wanda turning around), and a projectile attack if the player gets too far away. Tree branches will also spring up beneath the player now and again, and spiders will occasionally spawn.
The name of the game here is movement. Don’t stand still for too long, and always be aware of where the tree branches are about to spawn. Wanda has a small cool-down between attacks, and so the easiest way to take Wanda down is to dodge away from her attacks and chip away at her health in-between. If you’re confident with parrying, I recommend getting into a rhythm of dodging her first attack and parrying her second: if you parry her first ‘stab’, you will avoid the damage of her second, but if you parry her first AOE, you will be hit by the second. Try to take out the spiders as soon as they spawn so the arena isn’t cluttered, and when moving away to heal, look out for Wanda’s projectiles.
In her second phase, Wanda has 4 moves: a quick AOE attack, an attack where she does a diagonal stab on either side of her, quickly followed by another, an attack where she puts her arms into the ground and sends a flurry of roots at you, and an attack where she briefly makes a copy of herself.
The trick here is to stay close to Wanda - try and stand exactly where she is - and whale on her. She can’t hit you with the diagonal stab when you’re standing in the same spot as her, and her quick AOE can either be parried or swiftly healed from. When she puts her hands into the ground for the root attack, run across the arena, turn, dodge through the wall of roots, and run back, getting a few hits in while she still has her hands in the ground. When she makes a copy of herself, the copy will very quickly disappear, so dodge around for a few seconds and then go back to standing central to Wanda.
It may take a few tries to learn her move-set, but once you’ve nailed it down, you’ll be okay. Don’t forget to make use of your Witchery powers to finish her off more quickly!

Just a heads up. I died at the same time as Wanda during my first playthrough, which skipped the "cutscene" and prompt for gaining the ability. Which, you guessed it. Softlocked my game by not granting me the superdash ability. Just confirmed it by playing through the game again up to that point.

I hard recommend using the Corrosive Touch (level 3 if you've got the dust) witchery the moment you regain control after beginning the fight, and then again in between her attacks..you will melt her with Poison build up.
I would also recommend killing all the enemies on your way to her from the mirror, as you can get a spite level up easily. A Heal boost or a Build up Effect boost is hugely welcome.
Personally I paid no attention to the spiders she spawns as they spend so much time being still, and often got caught in the crossfire anyway (or died from poison). I saw them as free Ichor build up fodder. I also spent most of my time in both phases, right next to her. I found the projectile she throws to be a nightmare to avoid for some reason, and is does massive damage. Plus, she only thros it when you're far away. If you stay close you can stick to just dodging her root attacks and maximise your dps.
