The basic combos are ridiculous, took me half an hour to do the first one and then realised there are loads...deleted the effing game

The basic combos are pretty easy, and I pretty much suck. I can only assume you're confusing them with the combo tutorial vs. the introduction to combos in the basics. I'm guessing those will get dire.

Agreed, even basic combos in tutorial are pain in the ass... timing is super difficult, even though I've watched demo how to do it, I still can't get the timing right... And that comes from a player who has completed most character combos in older Dead or Alive-games. :-(

Mortal Kombat 11 features a player-friendly tutorial set that is broken down across three achievements. If you are having trouble with any of the tutorials, you can press the button to have the A.I. show you the correct button inputs and timing. Then press again to return to the player-controlled tutorial and attempt to complete it. If you use the 'Skip Current Task' option, you will not get a pass on that particular tutorial and the achievement will not unlock. You can go back to complete ones you've skipped, however.

Basic Tutorials consist of the following:

  • Basic Movement & Attacks
  • Blocking & Throws
  • Environment Interaction
  • Special Moves & Kombo Attacks
  • Fatal Blows & Amplified Special Moves
  • Basic Kombos

The Basic Tutorial in Mortal Kombat 11 teaches the basics and bare essentials of the Mortal Kombat series and fighting games in general, to new players (and veterans looking to return to the franchise after a while). This tutorial consists of six lessons and a list of them can be found below:
  1. Basic Movement and Attacks
  2. Blocking and Throws
  3. Environment Interaction
  4. Special Moves and Kombo Attacks
  5. Fatal Blows and Amplified Special Moves
  6. Basic Kombos
All lessons in this tutorial award the player with 1,000 koins each upon completion and when you complete them all, not only will you unlock this trophy but you will also be awarded with 10 Time Krystals.
