How to unlock the No Bad Match Ups achievement in Mortal Kombat 11 - Definitive Guide

I'll be totally honest, this is probably the hardest achievement in the entire game, while most of them in Mortal Kombat 11 are based on grinding, this one puts your skill to the test.
The advanced tutorials are the third and last line of tutorials before the character practice tutorials, which we won't be playing (thank GOD).
Main menu -> Learn -> Tutorial -> Strategy
The strategy tutorial is divided in 3 sections, and the achievement requires you to complete all of them, it's important to mention that you CANNOT just hit the pause button and select "skip lesson", as they won't be counted as complete.
Here are some general tips:
-As this tutorial is focused on counter attacks, get-up attacks, punishing and frame advantage, your inputs must be very precise, I recommend directly connecting your controller with a wire so that the input lag decreases.
-Many people have problems with cancelling a combo into a special move, that's because they take their time between input and input, to avoid this issue, special moves cancels have to be done almost instantly after the last input, for example, if you have a combo that goes X, X, Y and have to cancel it with the special move Back Forward B, right after pressing Y from the combo you have to press Backwards and complete the special move combination.
-Move with the D-pad instead of the joystick
-The 2 hardest lessons in this tutorial are the Raiden combo that involves a teleport and the Skarlet crouch block into uppercut punish against Baraka, frame precision is necessary for these, which leads me to my last and MOST IMPORTANT advice:
-If a certain lesson is being too hard for you, WATCH THE PRE-RECORED HOW TO VIDEOS, every lesson has one and can be watched at any time during it by pressing the back button cn_back, they will show you exactly how to do every combo, sometimes we may input either too early or too late, and these videos will show us what we were doing wrong.
I wish you the best of lucks, don't give up, you'll eventually beat it ;)

What I did for Raiden's combos was this:
1) I mastered the 2nd part of the combo first until it became muscle memory. From the Up Down part on. Then I worked on the first part of the combo. Getting the first part to activate is pretty easy but youre fingers go nuts during the second part as you panic so making it muscle memory is essential.
2) 50-70 times I studied the timing of the combo, because there is a slight pause after the teleport before you want to start the combo

They can really suck a bag of d**** for this... Way to ruin an otherwise pretty nice completion.
I'm not wasting time with that BS anymore.

This ja one of the most horrible achievements I’ve ever completed. Probably spent more time on the tutorials than on the other modes.

To make it easier to use xCloud's Mortal Kombat and download the keyboard extension is much easier for those who do not have motor coordination in control.

Fingers are bleeding but Raiden ones are complete. Taking a break before I wrap up this achievement. One major tip, which FallenToast points out, is cancels have to be done immediately is an understatement!!! I almost found myself hitting kicks at the same time as special move first inputs, it's that immediately after. Huge tip, practice the cancel moves first, ie: B, cancel <>A, RB. Once you are consistently nailing the special cancels, then try to link all linking together. Also, a stupid tip, but didn't see mentioned anywhere. Watch the CPU go and note combo timing in left hand corner. I found this much more helpful than watching the CPU input buttons light up.

Honestly, it's just persistence.

Start by getting the 1st move down, then mix in the 2nd.

Don't try to do the whole thing at once straight away.
If anything feels too complicated, just break it down until it's doable and then build slowly.

RUSHING THIS PROCESS will only lead you to frustration, disappointment and anger. Making this seem much harder than it needs to be.

Watch the demo play, a lot and get a strong FEEL for the rhythm of the attack and timing. Don't watch the buttons on the controller in the bottom left, watch the character on the screen, it's a LOT easier to get a feel for it.

If you're getting mad, take a break. I was VERY angry at some points of this, thinking I wasn't fast enough or dexterous or whatever. YOU PLAY SOOO MUCH WORSE WHEN YOU'RE ANGRY. So chill and revisit it later, you'll find it's a lot easier.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER YOU ONLY HAVE TO DO IT PERFECTLY 1 TIME!
even if it's a fluke, it still counts. Keep practicing and it's inevitable!

The Strategy Tutorials are the third and final set of tutorials featured in Mortal Kombat 11. These will teach players about the essentials of having a gameplan when learning a character or going out and participating in local or national tournaments. Like the Advanced Tutorials, this portion of the tutorial is also divided into three sections, all of which have their own subsections that can be found in the list below.
  • Building Kombos
    1. Corner Kombos
    2. Kombo Limitations
    3. Extending Kombos
    4. Kombo Starters
    5. Kombo Enders
    6. Hit Confirming
  • Advantage & Pressure
    1. Getup Offense
    2. Getup Defense
    3. Block Pressure
    4. Hit Pressure
    5. Pressure Defense
  • Positioning & Resources
    1. Zoning
    2. Fighting Zoners
    3. Grounded Neutral
    4. Anti-Air
    5. Gauge Management
    6. Fatal Blow Management
All lessons in each of the three sections of this tutorial will award the player with 1,000 koins each upon completion and when you complete them all, not only will you unlock this trophy but you will also be awarded with a total of 30 Time Krystals for completing all three sections, since each one gives 10 Time Krystals upon completion.

If you're having trouble with any of the combos in this tutorial and need assistance with them, be sure to head to the Share Play Partners thread to search for a partner.

All trophies are rubbish, but this one is the worst.
My advice is this:
1) be sure to read what exactly they want from you, watch the demo and delve into it.
2) Sometimes during training it is better to drive the “dummy” into a corner and do tricks there.
3) When you get to the combo section, I advise you to divide the combinations into several parts and memorize them. I did this: I divided the combo into three parts and memorized it from right to left. That is, we learned the far right row and supplemented it with the second half of the combo. Why is this so, because the beginning is the easiest to learn, but at the end you get lost due to ignorance.
And further. I only found out in this part. When you do a combo together with a special move, you need to do it almost immediately, but with a second delay. The word "interrupt" is when you do a combo and immediately interrupt it and do a special move. An example was Raiden and Sub Zero.

And also when you train for Geras against Baraka... You need to use a clean block, this is not indicated in the demo

The buttons need to be pressed much faster than shown in the demo, otherwise nothing will work.

- tasks with baraka and scarlet are best done using the ancient ninja technique: close your eyes and remember the sound of the buttons being pressed in the demo, as pressing buttons can cause dissonance with the animation and, as a result, sitting for a long time on one task;
- in a combo with Raiden, it helps to look more at the line of buttons, because in many tasks simply pressing the buttons correctly counts, but with animations you can miss again
- + means you have to press two buttons at the same time
- , , means that you need to press three buttons one after another: smack-click-click
- the division of blocks in the majority (you will probably get stuck on them a little) means performing a Flawless Block - this is when the block presses simultaneously with the blow. if in any combo there is a block and the series is not counted for you, then it is probably due to the Flawless block; if executed successfully, a notification medal will pop up on the side
- in a combo of Raiden with Kabal, you can notice that a space after the comma appears in the line of buttons, this means that you need to wait a little and then continue execution. in the game it looks like Raiden shocks the enemy in a red ball, often this is accompanied by an increase - here you have to wait until the animation comes to an end, because if you continue to press the buttons further, then the first one pressed, or even two, will not count and the combo will fail
- look at the demo, there are moments when the electric shock is stronger and the character is highlighted, a golden aura (flawless block) flashes around the character for a second, or the animation of a super blow begins at the end of a combo: if it is in the demo, but you don’t, then you probably missed the timings and just try again

The most difficult thing was that Raiden vs Kabal combo with flying at the end.
Two points that I realized along the way and which allowed me to perform the combo:
1) Immediately after it is clear that the first three strikes pass (two strikes and red lightning), without delay (we do not wait for any animations), press R1 and down and up.
2) After this, you need to wait for the teleport animation and immediately perform the rest of the three-hit combo at the moment it appears. At the same time, I couldn’t get the final “back and forth X” on the d-pad, but as soon as I decided to try it on the stick, it worked in five attempts.

The general meaning is that the combo should be performed on buttons clearly ahead of what is happening on the screen at the moment.

My platinum of all the trophies in this game was mostly the last Raiden vs Baraka combo. My advice. Don't change the layout on your joey, it doesn't help. I suffered for about 2 weeks, every other day for about an hour for sure. Firstly, I started the combo not from the right side, but from the left, because... It was convenient for me to do the flight (back forward x) on the right with the last blow, that’s why the penultimate blow is teleport, and then the flight. Secondly, learn combos in parts. Everything worked out perfectly for me, except for the damned flight at the end, and I struggled for two years just with the flight at the end. Well, from there it’s purely about trying and trying. Thirdly, the joy must be practically new so that the buttons are not pressed, because... I personally play on the D-pad rather than on a stick.

I suffered for a long time and broke the gamepad, but in the end I decided to do it not with skill, but with cunning.
1. Using remote play, I launched the game from my laptop/computer
2. Downloaded a program for recording and playing macros
3. I recorded parts of the combo segment by segment using trial and error and connected them into one macro
4. Profit
Link to my macro here
We take the link to the program for the macro from Github
Maybe it will help someone who is as crooked as me or just feels sorry for the gamepad.

PS download remoute play from the link from github, they write that other versions do not work correctly
