How to unlock the Bloody Good Time achievement in Mortal Kombat X - Definitive Guide
Every character has multiple fatalities.
Once you take the last bit of your oponents health in the last round (depending on the number of rounds of the match), "Finish him" will be displayed on the screen, which means you now can perform a fatality.
To perform a fatality you have to enter a specific combo, which is different for every fatality and character.
Every character has one fatality unlocked by default, and you can unlock additional ones in the krypt.
There are also "Faction Kills" which basicly are Fatalities you get for ranking up in your faction, and are different for any faction, but everything applies for them as for normal ones.
You can look your Fatalities up by pressing during a match and go to the charactes move list, youll find the fatalities and brutalities you currently have unlocked under the "Finishing Moves" section.
If you struggle with the fatalities, you can go to:
"Singleplayer" - "Training" - "Fatality Training"
and train your fatalities there.
But keep in mind that fatalities that you perform in the training wont count for any achievement!
In order to count for the achievement the fatality has to be performed in a regular match (lokal, private, online, etc.) but not in training.
Example:
Scorpions first Fatality while facing right:
Stop Ahead: (Middle*) **
* (The distance in brackets stands for the position your character has to be in, in relation to the enemy, while performing the Fatality Combo.
There are 3 different distances:
-close: stand directly in front of the enemy
-middle: stand in jumping distance
-far: stand about a screen size away
** The moves you need to perform change with your characters position, so stands for "back" instead of "left" in this case.
Which means for Scorpion it would be "Down"-"Back"-"Forward"-"Y".
Now if you face left you need to press "Down"-"Back"-"Forward"-"Y" again, but this time "back" and "forward" are switched as your character faces a different side.
You need to adapt the combo to your current position.
So while he faces left you need to press: .
("Down"-"Back"-"Forward"-"Y".)
But the instructionsin the "Finishing Moves" will always change according to your current position, so if you look them up, they will always show exactly what you need to press without having your postion in mind.
There are 24 characters in the game that are needed for the achievement, Shinnok has to be unlocked by completing the story first, and Goro is not needed as he is Dlc.
I would advise you to combine this with the:
- "Win with every Character Variation"
- "Play as every Character Variation"
- "Use the X-Ray" of every Character"
achievements !
The quickest way i found for now, is:
- Go to "Options" - "Gameplay" and set the rounds to 1, so you only have to win 1 instead of 2 rounds wich basicy saves you half the time.
- Go to "Singleplayer" - "Single Fight" and start with the character you want to begin.
- Win 3 matches with the character (one with every variation) and durign those, use the X-Ray of the character, perform one fatality with the character and if you want to perform one of the Brutalities of the character. (* See note)
- Rinse and repeat for every character. (Goro is not needed).
To save time I recommend tackling this achievement at the same time as "Tower Warrior". You will have five chances to pull off a fatality with each character as you work through their tower. Below is a list of what I consider to be the easiest fatality for each fighter. I tend to prefer close fatalities where I can because it make's positioning much easier. All commands assume you are in the default position facing right.

It doesn't matter which fatality you use to get the trophy. Only one fatality per character is required. There are 24 characters (excluding DLC), so you need to do 24 fatalities in total.
Bear in mind you need to complete the story first to unlock Shinnok which is required for this trophy.
A fatality can be performed at the end of the match. Instead of simply hitting your enemy, you can press a combination of buttons to trigger a special death sequence. The button input for each character can be viewed in the pause menu (pressing Options button) where it says "Finishing Moves".
Note that you have to do this in real matches. It won't unlock the trophy in training mode.
One of the trickiest Fatalities to perform is Ermac. You need to hold down until pressing the last button of his combo. Go to practice mode first if you are struggling with it. Also, you can use one of your Easy Fatalities Ticket with Ermac and still will work.
