How to unlock the BUDDY!!! achievement in Mortal Kombat X - Definitive Guide

To earn this achievement you'll need to first complete a Tower Challenge and send a challenge to friend in your friends list.

Tower Challenges can be found under the One Player Menu. You can start a New Tower Challenge which will be a randomly generated tower of 5 fights. After completing the last fight, when taken to the post tower menu you'll get an option to send a challenge to a friend. Simply pick that option and send the challenge to anyone on your friends list and the achievement will unlock.

Good to know I'm not the only one having issues. I could not get this achievement to unlock yesterday or today (July 14/15, 2015).

Only worked for me on the second attempt (so I earned Challenge Accepted before this), so worth retrying if it doesn't pop

I'm having the same issue. Just completed a tower, sent the challenge to 3 different friends, who all own the game, and achievement didn't pop, nor show up as unlocking.

Firstly go into 1 PLAYER then select TOWERS then pick TOWER CHALLENGES and finally NEW TOWER CHALLENGE, now you have to fight 5 opponents to create a challenge and once done you can Choose ANY of your friends to send the challenge and the trophy will unlock regardless if they own the game or not...

I just found out that on PS5 this does not work.
So play it on PS4.

To send a tower challenge to a friend you first need to complete a Tower Challenge yourself. The Tower Challenges are found under the one player menu, Towers > Tower Challenges > New Tower Challenge. Tower Challenges are randomly generated, five fight towers, you can retry as many times as you need to and once the tower is completed you will see an option to Challenge Friends. Select any friend from your list, it doesn't matter if they have played the game or not, and send them the challenge. The achievement will unlock as soon as the challenge is sent.

From the main menu go to One Player option, select Towers, Tower Challenges, New Tower Challenge.

Here, you will need to complete a randomly generated tower with 5 opponents; you can’t change the difficulty in this tower. If you fail with any opponent, you can retry as many times as you need.

Once you beat all 5 opponents in the Tower, you get the option to Challenge Friends. Select any friend and the trophy will pop right after you send the challenge.

Your friend doesn’t need to have the game.

Go to the factions and there choose a tower with tests, when you pass it, send an invitation to a friend to get this

The trophy is not available on PS5. It says that you need a PS4 system to invite.

I couldn’t figure out where this trophy was given for an hour and a half (I thought it was online), a hint for players like me:
Turn on PS4, launch Mortal Kombat X (XL).
Single Player -> Towers -> Tower Challenge -> New Tower Challenge
When you pass it (there are 5 fighters), the phrase “test of friends” will appear, so you need to click there and invite anyone from the list of friends, even with a PS3.

If you only have PS5 Platinum is unattainable, the challenge cannot be submitted, it says "This feature is intended for use on PS4. It cannot be used on this PS5 system"

You can send the test to any friend from the list, even if he doesn’t have an MKH and even if he has a PS3, the trophy will be counted.

In fact, you can send an invitation to a friend who does not play the game.
