How to unlock the DIE WILL YOU achievement in Mortal Kombat X - Definitive Guide
Raiden's XXYY combo (Thunder God variation) is best at the moment. The 4th hit gets her from behind most of the time but a full connect will get you about 8-10 hits and his x-ray another 11 hits. You may have a few matches where she just ignores the move the whole time, but it works most of the time and makes the best progress, I got the 87% I needed in 45 minutes.
I have also had some luck playing as Lui Kang and try for Throws and X-ray moves. You can get about 1% a match if you pull one of those off. 2% if you get really lucky!
NOTE: This guide works specifically for the first invasion boss. It is yet to be seen how it will fair on the next boss, but it is method that should work on future bosses. Information will be updated if needed.
This also is a good source for Koins. You get 200 every time.
You can net this achievement in around 30 minutes following this method.
Side note: When using Raiden, his 'Electrocute' Special does 8 hits per attack, which is a very useful counter to Mileena's teleport kick if you're like me and awful at timing the XXYY combo for full effect.
Style: Full auto

You should get a lot of hits that way. Also once you will fill up X-Ray then go try to give it a shot.
Not my solution, but my movie below fighting against Sub-Zero (2019-09-25)
This is just a "addition comment" so you can see how it works. Around 1-2h of doing so, and you should get the achievement.
So I decided to turn to the official MKX support at:
https://mortalkombatgamessupport.wbgames.com/hc/en-us/reques...
Only a few hours later I got this reply:
I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us regarding the availability of invasion bosses and I understand you would like to take part in that fun.
In cases like this, please understand that our Support Team typically doesn't receive advanced notice of events or when they will become available. Having said that, I will be happy to reach out to the Game Team to let them know there is interest in an update on the next Invasion event.

For this achievement, you must score 1000 hits on the boss. However, hits only count after you drop the armor. On the plus side, the hits are cumulative over ALL bosses. You can split it up over many weeks and your total will still run. So if you get fed up (especially on that trick Corrupted Shinnok), you can go away and come back to a more manageable boss. Also to note, if a variation of that boss is giving you too much trouble, go back to player select and a different variation of the boss may appear.
As for combos, Full Auto Jacqui's gun (), Liu Kang's quick combos, and Thunder God Raiden's quick combo (hold) can help you get hits. However, that armor is a bitch and you might want to try low attacks to drop armor. Down + front kick is universal for everyone, but check out practice mode to make sure a low attack is not a "Mid" attack.
Frustrating, slow, but not impossible. Grind if you must, but space it out for sanity's sake. There is no tracker available for hits.
BONUS: If you manage to last a full 30 seconds, you'll instantly have your health dropped, but you unlock the Farmer Jax card for the MKX Mobile app.
I basically got it off TA, but here are my personal tips:
1. If you get Tigrar Fury, exit. His flame range screws up the general strategy.
2. Use the jump hat to break the shield. Jump over, hit him, it won't always work, but it works a lot.
3. When he gets his shield broken, use his throw. 18 hits is the highest number you can get.
4. X-Rays, if you get them, are lovely. Use those too.
I also faced Predator one week. I think he'd be horrible against him due to laser spreads.

Now that you have access to the servers, go back to the main menu again and select Faction option and see if this mode is enabled; otherwise you need to come back later.
Once this mode is enabled, it lasts only 24 hours before another Invasion happens. The main objective in this mode is to fight against a super hard AI opponent with a golden shield (untouchable). You need to hit him/her as many times per match as you can. The 1,000 hits are cumulative so you don't need to hit the boss 1,000 in the same match.
Here are some tips:
- Do not expect to win it, it's impossible.
- The matches won't take too long.
- Do not panic if you lose by flawless victory in the first matches, the learning curve has just started.
- The opponent seems invincible, but it isn't.
- If you land a hit by luck and the opponent shows in yellow for a fraction of second, it doesn't count as a hit.
- In the beginning, this fighter turns angry and starts to grab and hit you like crazy, blocking everything you are trying to land. Another strategy besides blocking is the parry move, so you need to use a parry fighter such as Liu Kang.
- He can parry almost everything using his move Dragon Parry by pressing .
- The problem in this fight is the timing to parry, so you need to learn the enemy moves and keep parrying as much as you can.
- Even with this parry move the fight is impossible, but every parry you land hits the enemy twice. So if you can parry 10-15 times in a good match, you will get ~30 hits.
- The other reason to pick Liu Kang is because he is one of the fastest fighters in the game and here is the best reason: your X-Ray meter will increase very fast and if you can hit your opponent with it, it will count as another 15 hits. No other fighter can land as many hits with an X-Ray move as Liu Kang. Plus, the hits you could do with the parry will be much better.
- After performing the X-Ray move and if your rival doesn't block it, the shield will be gone and he/she can receive move damage.
- Now you can hit him/her with jumping and pressing , you will do more hits.
If you are struggling with the parry move, there's another method using Raiden (Thunder God variation) and spamming one easy combo: , , , (Hold) . For visual reference, you can watch the video. Thanks to Nobodygrotesque for the information.
Any of these two methods should be enough to unlock this trophy in less than 1 hour.

1. Choose Raiden's "Thunder God" variation, this opens up the preferred , , (hold), (hold) combo which gets up to 11+ hits depending on if you use meter or not (recommend not burning it).
2. If you're lucky, you will break the boss' armor on the first go at the combo and can then start racking up hits (hits only count after breaking the armor).
3. You will get hit one way or another, but this can be good because you will build meter for Raiden's X-ray. The X-ray can be tough to pull off if you hold it before releasing because the boss will simply block the attack, so wait for them to begin or be in the middle of an attack to pull it off for 13 hits.
4. Every so often, the AI will just wreck you and you'll end up dying super quickly without getting a chance to try a hit. For this, try your best to block and break up the flow of the hits and try the combo again.
The boss can never be defeated as the armor is tied to how long they have left before they disappear. Even if you last the 30 seconds that are in this match, you will simply die. No way to avoid it. In any stance, you will get koins so keep replaying it. You can get frustrated with how well the AI reads and just annihilates you, but persevere and you'll get this in a couple of hours at most.
Com o raiden você aperta os botões ele dará dois socos um raio com teleporte e outro raio.
Essa foi a forma mais rápida que consegui pegar essa conquista em menos de 1 hora e 30 min eu conquistei ela.
Espero que tenha ajudado!
I got this achievement today in more or less 3 hours, the current Invasion Boss is Bo' Rai Cho and I must say his A.I. is beyond broken.
Anyway, I tried the Jacqui and Liu Kang spam a little, but for the most part I used the aforementioned Raiden method.
Aside from the X,X,Y,Y combo, prioritize performing an X-Ray.
Now, there are 2 very important things that I want to mention and hopefully make your grind easier:
1.- The A.I. of the boss is ridiculously cheap, it reads your inputs before their animations go off and prepares the counter attack, to avoid this, don't get all button mashy, every time the boss knocks you down onto the ground, let them attack first so you have time to block and counter attack.
2.- YOU CAN EXPLOIT THE VARIATION OF THE BOSS
If after the fight you return to the character select screen and choose either the same character you were playing as or a new one, there's a big chance that the boss will be in a different variation; The boss can show up in any of the 3 variations, as well as the 4th "basic" variation.
For example, Bo' Rai Cho had his Bartitsu variation at first and he was giving me a pretty hard time, so I returned to the character select screen and chose my character again, that way the boss was now in his Drunken Variation, which made this easier for me.
Depending on the boss, put them in the variation you can fight best and grind your way, I wish you good luck.
Invasion Boss Fights are only available during an active Invasion event. To see if there is an Invasion in progress, you can check the Faction section of the main menu. There are a couple of things to be aware off before you take on this achievement. The first is that the number of hits doesn't correlate to the amount of damage inflicted you are shown in the results screen, so if you inflicted 80 damage, that doesn't mean you hit the boss 80 times. As such there is no real way to track this achievement other than to check your tracker and work out what percentage of 1000 you are on. The second thing is that at the start of each match the boss is shielded, when you hit them you will see them flash gold and they will act like nothing happened, these initial hits before the shield is broken will not count towards the achievement.
Now that's out of the way, there are two methods we can use to score a good amount of hits per match. The first, recommended, method is to use Raiden and his combo. It's easy to pull off and you don't even need to hit then with every attack to score multiple hits as the last strike is a lightning punch that does multiple hits on its own. If you are struggling with pulling off this combo for some reason, then you can also try using a character with a high hit x-ray move like Jaqui Briggs or Lui Kang; both of their x-rays will hit 15 times. Whichever method you find works best for you just keep plugging away whenever you find an invasion boss available until you have your 1000 hits.
This also happens when you fall and are able to get up. The whole problem is that the computer calculates this information as soon as you lie down and start to get up and when you rise you press the block while standing, then the bot will hit a low blow, and if the block is sitting then a high blow. The theme is that in the smallest fraction of seconds you have to manage to press the squat button in order to catch the AI, it will be very difficult to do this, but I advise you to try.
It also happens while standing, if you hold the block in a crouch, the computer can make a jumping kick, which is considered high, at this moment it can also be caught.
BUT I repeat once again that this requires a VERY VERY quick reaction
I’ll also add about the heroes, it will be very convenient to fight with buffed heroes (for those who don’t know, this is when it takes a few seconds before a special blow), at these moments you can really catch them. And also on the same topic, a different fighter can drop out each time, but the fact is that every time he enters a battle, he changes his style and choose the one that buffs the most. As an example, Shinnok - Necromancer, before hitting with a bone hand, a few seconds.
