How to unlock the Keep it Secret achievement in Mortal Kombat X - Definitive Guide

Get to Opponent 6 in the Premier Tower. You must get a flawless victory in round 1 and finish the fight with a Fatality. If you take damage in round 1 just pause the game, go to player select and try again.

I found it easiest to get a Flawless Victory with Scorpion by continuously using the same combo over and over. That combo is cn_leftcn_rightcn_X,cn_rightcn_Y,cn_downcn_Y

Was this only for the recent premier tower just finished? I just did this with the new premier tower of 9 opponents and found no secret battle :(

you can do the flawless in round 2! just use your x-ray in round 2, do this round flawless and make a finisher. if you get hit just use character select and start again till you do it;)

Realized my sixth fight was with Raiden. Electric Fly pretty much made it impossible to spam dirty combos for a Flawless. Trying again knowing my sixth will be against Sonya. That should be easier.

I finally got the flawless against that prick johnny cage and nearly cried when I accidently missed the fatality, but the secret fight popped anyway thankfully

No need to do an X-ray and no need to do the fatality. I screwed up and failed my fatality and still got the hidden fighter Reptile + the achievement. If you could please edit your guide so others can see.

My sixth fight was Kano, did the Scorpion method. Took quite a few tries because Kano kept spamming his Cannonball move at me angry but it's all done now. Thanks!

This guide is no longer valid. This only applied to the 2nd premier tower which was the MK I tower. Each premier tower last one week and then is replaced by another tower. This weeks is Daddy's Girl and only lets you play as Mileena. The 1st tower was a Goro tower in which you could only play as him. In the MK I tower people could use any character they chose. There should be more chances later with future towers to try to get this achievement done.

so this weeks might be to fight jade? Daddy's Girl. Mileena, Kitana, Jade. For mk2 it was use only low kicks to win the hidden character match.

I just got this tonight on Premier Tower (Mortal Kombat III). I played as Scorpion (Inferno). I didn't have any flawless victories, and the secret fight came up after beating Opponent 3. I did a fatality or brutality up until then. I did the Who's Next Fatality on Opponent 1 (Liu Kang); the Little Devil Brutality on Opponent 2 (Sub Zero); and the Get Over Here Brutality on Opponent 3 (Kung Lao). Secret Fight popped up, and it was Mileena. She was feisty, but I showed her her place.

UPDATE: Got ANOTHER Secret Fight in the same session on Premier Tower (Mortal Kombat III). Scorpion (Inferno). No flawless victories, but I did a fatality or brutality every time. After killing Opponent 8 with a Fatality, I got Secret Fight. This time it was Ermac, and he absolutely destroyed me. Could not pull off a single move.

got it today. mk1 tower, got to choose any character I wanted, flawless victory the 1st round on the 6th fight, I messed up the fatality, but still got the achievement for the secret fight just as I was thinking I'd have to start all over.

I have gotten the achievement with multiple profiles and it seems like the only towers that anyone has ever found a secret fight in are the Mortal Kombat Premium towers (MK1, MK2, MK3, MK4, and MK9). If you missed those towers, it seems you shit out of luck until they come around again. In the 8 months since the game's release, each of those towers have been up twice. I have played and completed every premium tower since the game came out and I've never seen a secret fight except when those MK towers are up.

It won't be. It shows the what the upcoming premier tower will be shortly before release. It shows Shinnock. It's far too soon to repeat those towers

I can confirm this WORKS as for the current MKII-Premier tower. Did everything as mentioned in the this very solution and the secret fight appeared one round after 7 (Reptile), 6 was Scorpion. Achievement unlocked as soon as the secret fighter appeared screen info. Thanks! dance

We have gone a month without any towers with the secret fight. Seems as if Netherrealm Co. has moved away from the MK towers and are now doing Special Weekly towers with no secret battles. Should this achievement now be flagged discontinued?

There's no reason for it to be flagged as discontinued. I've been playing the game regularly since it's release last year and have seen them rotate the MK towers once every 2-3 months or so. Give it more time. I'm certain they'll come back around again.

MK4 Tower should be:

- Get to Round 7
- Get a Flawless Victory in at least 1 round in that fight
- Perform a Fatality/Brutality/Faction Kill at the end

I'm not sure if you need to perform a Fatality or anything like that in every round though.

This weeks tower has one, I just did a fatality at fight 9 (may differ for others, but while playing Triborgs Smoke Variation) and got Cyber Sub Zero as a secret fight.

I get both of these problems. I've tried holding the power button down on the xbox to clear the cache and this didn't work. My internet at home is really good. Any advice?
1. Faction War - reports "There is an error with the faction server. Check back later."
2. Living Towers - says "No Living Towers Available. Please check back another time."

Friendly heads up. This does not work on living tower called death to all. I did a flawless on round 1 of the 6th and final fight. Finished off round 2 with a fatality and the tower was complete. One interesting thing to note is that there was not a player select option when you paused the game during that tower. I'm currently playing the valentine's tower which does have the player select option when you pause. It's possible the towers without the player select option won't work for this cheevo since they force you to use a specific character.

I'm upvoting this. It worked kinda for me. I did Scorpion but I got it on the 3rd match. I don't think I got a flawless on the first round but if I did get hit it was hardly anything. I did finish with a fatality too. The match was kinda weird because I did fight another Scorpion and his style was blank. But when the mystery opponent came up and I started the fight I got the achievement. But the big thing was it worked on match 3 for me and not 6. The rest was the same.

This only works if the Premier Tower is for "Mortal Kombat". My Premier Tower said "Mortal Kombat 4". The second-most upvoted guide has the correct solution.

This weeks tower is based on Mortal Kombat 1, and this was how you got to the hidden fight in that game. I suspect as the premier tower changes to other games in the series, the way you get this achievement will change too (if you go through the list of icons etc... you can see there's ones on MK2 and 3 planned). It probably won't be available every week either, I don't think you could get it on last weeks Goro one for example.

Worked great. Just FYI for my flawless I used Kung Jin and spammed (Air) cn_downcn_B, cn_Y,cn_Y. His range seemed to throw the AI a bit.

@xSLICKx86, it seems like no one really gives a shit about this game anymore. I've been looking for weeks now for a solution to the premium towers secrets, and I can't find anything and I can't get any responses to my threads.

Btw, on both the MK9 and Uncaged towers I have tried just about everything: getting flawless rounds, fatalities/brutalities/faction kills on every match, but nothing has worked for me yet. I'm wondering if not every premium tower has a secret fight.

I finally got it!!! And yes, I did down vote because I feel that your guide is only for one certain tower..............

What was stated above in bitRagnarokk's comment SHOULD be in your guide!!!

MK4 Tower should be:

- Get to Round 7
- Get a Flawless Victory in at least 1 round in that fight
- Perform a Fatality/Brutality/Faction Kill at the end

(And yes, if you get hit, character select still works to restart the round)

I got to round 7 with Sub-Zero, used his fatality every time bc it was so easy, got a flawless in the second round against Tonya, did a fatality, and got the secret fight!!

I found this on psnprofiles and all credit goes to Sergen for compiling this (https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/57954-premier-towers-wit...). I thought I would share the requirements here since there isn't one full solution for multiple MK towers. This list may not be comprehensive and I can update if there are any additional ones or corrections needed, just leave me a comment.

A secret fight can only be found in the weekly premiere tower under living towers. These rotate weekly and therefore the requirements for a secret fight change weekly as well. Also, some weekly towers do not have secret fights that we know of.

MORTAL KOMBAT I (Fight Reptile)

Reach the 6th opponent
Get a Flawless Victory (Round 1 or 2)
Win Round 2 with a Brutality or Fatality. Alternatively, you can also win with an X-Ray Move (:l2: + :r2:) in this tower, but you must perform it after the words "Finish Him/Her" appear on the screen.

MORTAL KOMBAT II (Fight Kitana)
***See comments for MK2; others have unlocked this without meeting these requirements***

Reach the 8th opponent
Win Round 2 with a Brutality or Fatality.

MORTAL KOMBAT III (Fight Mileena 3rd opponent/Fight Ermac 8th opponent)

For anyone still going for this - the MKII tower is available this week. Simply finishing the 8th match with a fatality in round 2 did not work for me, so I thought I'd share what I did the next time through when it did appear. Hopefully this will help someone else going for this in the future.

Along the way to the 8th opponent, I had used a fatality in every match except one (I just missed it in one match). After using the fatality in round 2 of the 8th, the game moved on to the 9th opponent, which was Scorpion.

On my second pass through the tower...
* I never lost a round leading up to the 8th match (I don't know if this matters).
* I had zero flawless victories.
* I finished round 2 with a fatality in every match.
* This time, Scorpion was the 8th opponent.
* Scorpion beat me a couple of times; when he did, I immediately went to Player Select to restart the fight.
* Just in case, I got my last pre-fatality hit with a low kick (not sure if it mattered, but others had mentioned using a kick)
* I used a fatality to end the match

After this, the secret match was discovered and my achievement unlocked.

I played MK2 Premier Tower with Scorpion. I don`t skip any fights!

On Battle 6 Rayden I won first Round with Flawless Victory and second Round with Fatality ... no Hidden Fight.

Than I play Battle 7 Kung Lao normally. Battle 8 was Mileena and I won first round, second Round for Mileena and third I won with Fatality. No Flawless Victorys!

Than I have become the Hidden Fight with Kitana.

Don`t know thats is the normally way but its the way I have become it. Good Luck


Edit: I don`t loose any rounds or fights only the one against Mileena. I was going to choose Character for the Flawless Victory Round with Rayden two times!

EVERY WEEK REQUIREMENTS CHANGE.
To get the cheevo best is search for it on youtube.

This week you need to get a whole flawless victory in the MKII tower BEFORE 8th opponent and take down Raiden (8th opponet) with a fatality. This triggers the secret Kitana fight.
I'll do that later ^___^

Just unlocked this today (1-16-2017) during the MK III premiere tower.

Only need to finish the first 3 matches with Brutalities and then the fight appears!!!

As for easy brutalities to help ensure unlocking the secret fight, I used Raiden's Electrocute combo (cn_down, cn_right, cn_Y). For this move to be a brutality, you have to start the move when the enemy's health is low enough that it kills them. Once they are dead but still in your grasp, keep tapping cn_Y to actually make it a brutality.

Sorry if this solution is redundant, others were helpful for the MKI and MKII premiere towers. I did not see anything for MKIII here on TA so I thought this might be helpful.

JUNE 11, 2019. The predator living tower is active this week (Trophy Hunter).

To unlock thi tower secret fight you must have to do these requeriments:
*Reach the 4th fighter.
*In the first round you MUST win with a FLAWLESS VICTORY (you can't be hit by the opponent)
*In the secound round you MUST do a FATALITY or BRUTALITY.

Here is a video (not mine) where a player show a good combo to spam (i did the same combo and work for me)



Here is a tip to know which living tower is coming next week, when you are at the main menu, you can see the squares at the top of the screen, one said faction, another about DLC characters and the last one (right) it show which living tower is active per week, but sometimes when you press the faction option on the menu, faction war page and see member profile and back to the main menu, you can see (sometimes) which is the next premier living tower next week, for example, the last week was active the Tanya premier living tower, and when i check my EXP and back to the main menu i see in the square of the living towers the predator character and a text saying "Coming Soon"

I did Mortal Kombat I Tower challenge

After numerous try this is how I get it :

Advanced to the 6th fighter (Mine was Sub-Zero after countless try against Johnny Cage) Try to do a Flawless victory in the first round or the second , if u missed it in the first round just hit the start button and choose select fighter and continue the fight until you get it right.

No finish is needed at the second round once you have beaten him the first round with a Flawless

So in short one flawless is needed that is all

I played as Sektor, didnt got any flawless but performed an Brutality to every opponent. I didnt lost a single round. After the eight fight i got the "found an secret fight" note and got the Achievement.

I don't feel like anyone here has said: you can't get this on every Premiere Tower. The only towers that work are MK1, MK2, MK3, MK4, Trophy Hunter, Who's Next, and Day of Love.

This trophy is unlocked in the Premier Tower 'Mortal Kombat I'.

In order to unlock the 'secret fight', do the following:
- Fight your way to Stage 6 (or, if you wish, you can use Skip Tokens. This does not affect the trophy).
- You must win round one of this match with a Flawless Victory.
- You must end the match with a Fatality/Brutality/Faction Kill.

Meeting the above criteria will trigger the hidden fight with Reptile, reminiscent of Mortal Kombat 1.

If you are struggling with the fight you can switch characters without harming your chances of getting the trophy. Likewise, if you get hit and cannot achieve a Flawless Victory, you can also go to character select via the menu to restart the battle penalty-free.

Voted up, but it should be noted that when a flawless is required you can get a flawless in 1st or 2nd round, it does not matter. In fact, it is easier to get on round 2 because of X-Ray.

I got this Trophy today, I played The MKIII tower with Raiden and did a fatality after every fight. I got the secret fight after the third fight.

This trophy is only available in some very specific living towers. So far, the only 3 premier towers that works for this trophy are:

Living Tower: Premier Tower (Mortal Kombat 1).
Living Tower: Premier Tower (Mortal Kombat 2).
Living Tower: Premier Tower (Mortal Kombat 3).

There may be other towers in the near future where you can earn this trophy but their schedule is still unknown. Some towers may not have secret fights at all. The requirements to unlock the secret fights in other towers are still a big mystery. As soon as we know the requirements for more towers we will update it here.

Secret fight requirements in Premier Tower (Mortal Kombat 1) to unlock the trophy:
  • Reach the 6th fight in the Tower
  • You need to perform one Flawless Victory in any round
  • When you win the match you need to do a Fatality or Brutality
  • Reptile will show up with the trophy
You don't need to beat him. The trophy will pop just before the fight starts. If you get hit and you can't do a Flawless Victory, just press (Pause) and reselect character to try again. The trophy will still pop as soon as you complete all tasks.

If you are struggling with the Flawless, there are many possible characters to use, for example, you can try with Goro's third variant (Dragon Fangs) and keep spamming this combination: , , , every time.

To activate the secret battle with Reptile you must:
  • Reach the 6th fight in the Living Tower of Mortal Kombat 1

To activate the secret battle with China you need to:

Hidden fighters Milena and Ermak / MK3 Living Tower Elite

To activate the secret battle with Milena and Ermak you need
  • Reach the 3rd or 8th fight in the Living Tower of Mortal Kombat 3
  • Perform a Flawless Victory in one of the rounds.
  • Perform a fatality, brutality, or faction kill.
  • Milena appears (in the 3rd match), Ermak in the 8th.

  • Reach the 7th fight in the Living Tower of Mortal Kombat 4

You can do it in a tower where they let you play as a Predator, the combination with the technique was already written by the person above, you need to reach 4 enemies in the tower. I did it in the tower where they let me play as the Predator. He made brutality, fatality, brutality and in the fourth match in the second round he made a clear victory and the next was a hidden battle with Jax.

I checked it on myself. There is no need to achieve 2 clean victories in each battle. There is no need to achieve 1 clear victory in each battle. It is not necessary to do Fatality after every win.
I played as Mileena and played out the combination: , , , . Repeat until victory. At the end of each match I did either Fatality or Brutality.
There was a clear victory in the 1st match, and in the 6th, in 1 of 2 rounds. In the 6th match I made Fatality.

Conditions:

  • Flawless Victory in one of the rounds with the specified opponent.
  • Fatality/Brutality at the end
  • If you receive damage, simply restart the battle through the character selection screen; this does not affect the trophy.
Tower MK1: Reach 6 opponents, make one clear victory in any round and fatality/brutality. A Reptile will appear.

Tower MK2: Reach the 8th enemy, make one clear victory (opinions differ here: some say in any round, others say only in the last) and fatality/brutality. Kitana will appear in the "Sorrowful" variation.

Tower MK3: There are 2 hidden battles: 1. With Mileena, on the 3rd opponent. 2. With Ermak, at 8. The conditions are the same: a clear victory in one of the rounds (although there are rumors that it is not necessary for Mileena) and fatality/brutality.

In the MK4 tower: on the 7th enemy, make Flawless Victory using rounds and fatalities (I don’t know about brutality, but it’s probably also possible). Goro appears.

Found a secret battle in a tower dedicated to MK II played Mileena in the 8th battle you cannot do fatalities, brutalities and factional murders (a clear victory is not needed). After the victory, access to the hidden battle against Kitana is opened. (I think that you need to go through Milina)

In the Elite Tower, dedicated to the coming of the Predator, I found a secret battle with Jax on the fourth fighter on 07/17/2015. On all four, it gave brutality (for the Predator it’s X-ray + down by 20% of the frag’s remaining life) plus a clear victory on the fourth fighter in the first round. Jax at the secret level fights with powerful combos like an invasion boss, hell, you don’t have to defeat him.

In the weekly Living Tower (Mortal Kombat 1) you need to reach match 6 . In any round, make a clean victory and at the end make a fatality , then you are guaranteed to discover the secret.

If you couldn’t get a clear victory in the round, press strat and select a character, select a character and start again with the same 6-game match, repeat until you get a clear victory, then finish off and do a fatality.

in the tower with the Predator, a clear victory must be in one of the rounds of the FOURTH match. Previously I did fatalities, brutalities and a couple of clean rounds in the second and third matches and the trophy did not fall out. As soon as I made a clear victory in the fourth match (second and third rounds) and brutality in the first match, the trophy immediately fell out.

Tower MK II
Made on 05/14/2019. 8 opponent. Played as Jax on my second try. In the first he made a clear victory in the second round and ended the fight with a fatality. Nothing opened. From the second round, I fought both rounds and didn’t make a fatality, I just hit and that’s it. The trophy fell out.

Elite tower MK1 from 05/02/17 to 05/09/17. The secret battle opened in the sixth fight with Kano.
Condition: make a clear victory (I did it in the second round) and a fatality on the sixth fighter.

07/18/15 Received a trophy in the tower with the traitor.

4 battle in the stairs (round 2) achieved a clear victory, before that he scored 1 brutality and 1 fatality.

Spammed combo + ; ; + - I managed to win the 2nd round right away. It is unclear to what extent a clean victory is really necessary. But it must be done not in round 1, but in round 2 (or 3).
