Mortal Kombat X

Mortal Kombat X is the first Mortal Kombat game in the series to introduce character variations.
That means now every single character has three different variations.
They all share their basic attacks and combos, as well as some special moves, but they all have some unique special moves, as well as variation specific brutalities.

For example:
Scorpion can now be played in either "Inferno" (Summon a deonic helper) "Ninjutsu" (Use two swords) or "Hellfire" (Adds fireballs and flame aura).

For this achievement you need to Win a full match wich each of the character variations.
Which means 24 characters x 3 variations each = 72 matches.

(Shinnok has to be unlocked by playing the campaing, first and Goro is not needed as he is Dlc)

I would advise you to combine this with the:

• "Play with every Character Variation"
• "Perform a Fatality with every Character"
• "Use the X-Ray" of every Character"

achievements !

The quickest way i found for now, is:

1. Go to "Options" - "Gameplay" and set the rounds to 1, so you only have to win 1 instead of 2 rounds wich basicy saves you half the time.
2. Go to "Singleplayer" - "Single Fight" and start with the character you want to begin.
3. Win 3 matches with the character (one with every variation) and durign those, use the X-Ray of the character, perform one fatality with the character and if you want to perform one of the Brutalities of the character. (* See note)
4. Rinse and repeat for every character. (Goro is not needed).

* This will help you towards the "Perform 50 Brutalities" achievement and will give you the achievement for performing 1 Brutality.

The solution to the 98% glitch club

Go to Kombat Kard (offline Kombat history)
Press Y to edit and select ICON

Scroll down till you come across 10 koin rewards. You will also notice symbols of weapons to the right.

These are in fact what the game has registered as your variant for each character.

You want to see 3 for each character.
You’ll notice the name of the reward will match that of the variant style.

Take Jax for example
You may have Wrestler I and II
And the third being pumped up I

This indicates that the fully loaded variant is missing and that the game has not registered you winning with that move style.

Get a pen and paper and make a list of completed characters that have the 3 rewards. (The names are located next to the reward so you don’t have to try and remember who’s Variant it is) Now we don’t need to worry about these..thus saving you time.

Write down the names of the ones who don’t have three and highlight the variant that is not listed for each character.

Go into kustom Kombat and use your 2nd controller. I used Danger modification to save time. Complete 3 or 4 fights with the characters rewards you need. Now return to Kombat Kard Icon menu and scroll down. You should hopefully see (*New along with an image you did not have before)

This may take a few tries. It took me 3 fights with Johnny Cage to register the Stunt double variant.

Once you have the 3 variants write the characters name on your completed list.

This allows you to focus on the characters that have failed to register and not have to waste time going through 24 characters.

The DLC characters do NOT count to the achievement.
