Mortal Kombat X

An X-Ray is a brutal special move in Mortal Kombat since Mortal Kombat 9.
On the bottom of the screen is your Ex-Meter (The three bars), which you fill by:

- Using special moves (found under - "Special Moves" , during a match)
- Getting hit by the enemy

In order to perform one you have to have a full meter, now it will indicate your X-Ray is ready by showing "X-Ray" over the third bar.

Every character uses his X-Ray by pressing and at the same time.
Using your X-Ray will deplete the whole meter and inflict a lot of damage to your opponent if you hit him with it.

Every character has a different one, which also means that some have different ranges they can hit the enemy in, than others.
If you want to practice your X-Rays go to:

"Singleplayer" - "Training" - "Practice"

In the Practice mode you can set the Ex-Meter to always full in the options and practice your X-Rays easily.

EDIT: There are 2 characters, that might give some people trouble, Sonya and Takeda.
1. Sonya has a "Counter-Xray", she has to be hit by the opponent during her Xray.
2. Takeda has to be in the air in order for his Xray to work.

EDIT2: For the achievement you need to perform an X-Ray with each of the 24 characters.
Shinnok has to be unlocked by completing the story first, and Goro is not needed as he is DLC.

I would advise you to combine this with the:

• "Play with every Character Variation"
• "Win with every Character Variation"
• "Perform a Fatality with every Character"

achievements !

The quickest way i found for now, is:

1. Go to "Options" - "Gameplay" and set the rounds to 1, so you only have to win 1 instead of 2 rounds wich basicy saves you half the time.
2. Go to "Singleplayer" - "Single Fight" and start with the character you want to begin.
3. Win 3 matches with the character (one with every variation) and durign those, use the X-Ray of the character, perform one fatality with the character and if you want to perform one of the Brutalities of the character. (* See note)
4. Rinse and repeat for every character. (Goro is not needed).

* This will help you towards the "Perform 50 Brutalities" achievement and will give you the achievement for performing 1 Brutality.

Press LT and RT when the word "x-ray" appears at the button-line. Get hit by your enemy until the line is filled up. Easy with 2 controllers! Most players will wonder why Takeda's X-Ray move doesn't work.. Solution is easy: Just jump and tap LT plus RT while in the air to perform his brutal X-ray move!
