How to unlock the No Loyalty achievement in Mortal Kombat X - Definitive Guide

If you want to boost this:

Step 1
Go to your Kombat Card and equip a Backround / Icon and Border that gives the most FXP (Faction XP). Preferably focus on FXP per win or FXP per Brutality, obviously the higher the better. While you grind, check every now and then for new and higher modifiers for your Kombat Card that you unlock on the way (new backround for every 5 Faction Levels).
For Icon I suggest Hanzo (hit every QTE in Story Mode with Scorpion)
For Border you will get one with your favourite fighter after 25 and 50 wins.

Step 2
Create a Kustom Game with a second Controller, pick Brutal Kombat for instant Brutalities and if you want Rapid Combat for even faster movement (spares some seconds - thanks to Dr. Lipschitz for pointing that out!).

Choose your favourite Fighter with an easy Brutality and start fighting. If you choose Kenshi for example, you just need to do 1 Throw and the Brutality will kick off.
1 second per match + loading time for rematch and an average of 600-800FXP per fight.

Here is a list with all Brutalities, what you need to do to pull them off and where to find them in the Krypt by IGN to pick your favourite one wink
http://uk.ign.com/wikis/mortal-kombat-x/Brutalities?objectid...

As a last info:
Be aware that you loose all (!!!) Progress in a faction if you decide to switch to another. If you switch, all XP is gone forever, every Faction specific Backround will be gone and if you switch before lvl50 you will have to start over again.

#Edit 04.05.15:
Markyshizzle has made an awesome Video on YouTube, explaining every step of this solution. So if you want something more visual to understand how this works click here:

You get a new faction background that gives more fxp every 10 faction ranks. 10, 20, 30, 40, 50.

Just so you know it might be better to edit out the part about the danger modifier. Health remaining at the end of the match can provide up to an extra 100 FXP per match and with the Brutality Kombat modifier and a proper character it becomes pointless. Most efficient way might be to include rapid combat though, just for the sake of it.

Will add that to the solution, thanks ;)
The Danger was for the 100 Fatalities, but yeah. It´s pointless with the Brutal Kombat

If you win 25 times with Tremor, you get a border that gives you 105 FXP per win. it's by far the best thing you can equip as a border to boost FXP.

I don't see a modifier called "Rapid Combat". There is one called Hyper Kombat however that increases Kombatants speed. Guessing this is the one he meant?

I did this over a few days using the two controller method using Kenshi and his incredibly simple throw Brutality. Time consuming, but easy. Don't forget to change your Kombat Kard for increased FXP as you level up your character and as you level up in your current faction. Happy hunting!

After grinding this out on quite a few different characters, I'm having the easiest time with Reptile's acid spit brutality. To do it, press down, forward, 1. It's a single hit and the death animation is very quick compared to others like Kung Lao's grab. Happy hunting!

Normally the achievemnt unlocks after a few days by itself. Just wait a few days, in 99% of the cases the Problem fixes itself

I figured it out. You have to hold down before doing the throw. But there's an even easier method, and can be done with any character. Set the stage to The Kove and hold LT and do an uppercut. Easiest Brutality in the game.

I found an easier way for myself than using Kenshi. Using the same setup, I chose Outworld Marketplace as the stage. This will allow you to use any character you want. I chose Triborg to get the extra Kombat Kard points. Once the fight starts, you immediately do a stage interaction to vault off the saber-toothed tiger to the right. Then immediately press to the left to do another stage interaction by grabbing the old woman and throwing her at your opponent causing an explosion of blood, granting the brutality. I was able to do this in almost less than a second every time.

The Lin Kuei Palace stage is surely the quickest Stage Brutality as you start right in front of the flame to throw. As soon as the round starts just press and hold RB & Right on the D-pad. Any character works. wink

There's still 2 days left on the MK1 premier tower, and I advise doing it for the reward. There is an MK1 border that gives +75 FXP per win, same as the character specific ones, but will work with any character. Might help get your factions a little faster while doing other activities outside of boosting.

Yes you can
Dr Lipschitz wrote a 1 Controller solution for this.

But in short:
Start a match of Test your Luck with Kenshi or your favourit easy Brutality char and max Modification Slots (7) for better chances. Then restart match until you get the mentioned Brutal Combat one. At the end you just restart with same modifications over and over.

!!! One controller solution !!!
(Use the other solution if you have access to a second controller, it's easier.)

This achievement speaks for itself; you simply join each faction and reach level 50, then switch to a new one. Do this 5 times over for each individual faction. It takes approximately 128,500 FXP to reach faction level 50 once. With this method you'll be earning roughly 100,000 FXP an hour depending on your match bonuses.
_______________________________________
Here's the breakdown for bonuses:

+50 FXP (per win)
+10 FXP (per loss)
+1-100 FXP (health remaining)
+25 FXP (X-ray)
+50 FXP (on flawless victory)
+200ish FXP (on double flawless victory, doesn't stack with single)
_______
+250 FXP Brutality
+100 FXP Fatality
+100 FXP Faction Kill
+0 FXP no finisher
_______
+??? FXP Kombat Kard bonus

The kombat kard contributes significant points so you should set it up to be as efficient as possible. I recommend the following:

Background: Perfectionist (Complete all story mode QTE sequences perfectly)
+100 Koins per match win

Unfortunately, if you are at level 1 in a faction there's not a good option for +FXP that involves winning a match or brutalities here. However, this is great for farming koins while you grind out the 200+ matches it will require for each faction.

Icon: Hanzo (Complete the Scorpion QTE perfectly)
+75 FXP per brutality performed

This will become obvious after reading the actual solution.

Border: Stance Name (Win 25 matches with [the same stance and character])
+75 FXP per win with specific character

If you don't already have a character in mind for grinding this I recommend Kenshi. Otherwise pick whatever you want to use with an easy brutality, win 25 matches with a specific stance and use that for the best results. (Each stance's kard bonuses are exactly the same by the way.)
_______________________________________

In general, unless you stack several bonuses for experience gain on fatalities or faction kills (+150 per or more) always aim for brutalities as they also give much more profile XP. If you're not abusing the CPU it's safer to plan on spamming faction/fatalities instead of risking attempts for brutalities.

As for abusing the CPU, normally this would take at least 12 hours or so of normal play but you can abuse the "Test Your Luck" mode. !!! If you have a second controller read the other solution as it will be faster. !!! I eventually found out about this by accident, I was wrong about my old solution, there is definitely a trick:
_______________________________________
From the main menu:

Single
Test Your Luck
Pick any character with a one command brutality
(I recommend Kenshi, simply land a grab)
Very Easy CPU (difficulty bonus doesn't apply)
Select at least 3 modifiers
(Because the game pulls from a pool of your "cheat" collection, the more random modifiers you've picked up the more annoying it will be for you to find the correct modifiers)
Once in the game, look out for the modifier "Brutality Kombat"
Start ---> Restart Match if it doesn't show up
Once you get the modifier spam your brutality for an easy 500-900 FXP
Select "REMATCH SAME MODIFIERS"
(It will always be the second option from the top so don't mash after the fight.)
_______________________________________

Important things to note:

In addition to the achievement you get the Dragon King kombat kard set. Not only does it look pretty neat, it also grants you +250 koins per match win when wearing the complete set, +150 koins per faction kill for wearing the icon, +800 koins (not a typo) per faction kill for using the background and finally +500 koins per match win for using the border. In total this means in a match where you pull off a faction kill you will earn 1,700 koins. Every match. Even if you don't bother with the faction kill it's still 750 Koins with the border and set bonus. (It's pretty fucking good.) Because this set is not tied to any specific faction you can switch at will and retain it.

After you switch factions you will lose access to all associated borders, icons and backgrounds for your kombat kard. Some of these parts do give very significant boosts so make sure you have a decent backup piece. Also, if you choose to switch back to a faction which you had already earned level 50 in you will be reset to level 1 anyway, having to unlock all the rewards again. (With this in mind, it would be wise to save the actual faction you want to join for last.)

So I'm a little confused on this. I picked my faction on initially starting the game. Never switched factions, and once I beat the game decided to work on this achievement, so I switch to the factions page and I have different percentages on each faction, even though I never switched...

By Fiction0713 on 17 Apr 2015 02:13
These percentages have nothing to do with your progress, that's the standings of each clan in the current "faction war." The number you should be concerned with is on your Kombat Kard, It will show the symbol of your faction to the right with a number between 1 to 50. Once you hit 50 you've maxed out progress on that faction.

Been a while since I played I have 1 faction left to get to 50 and I have no idea which one that is. Is their anyway in game to tell which one I haven't used yet? If I start again with a faction I have already done, will I have to get that to 50 again?

Adding to o0ArA0o solution there's a faster way to get all the faction FXP and Exp you need. Since you can have up to 4 modifiers on a 2-player match. I suggest using the Danger modifier as well as Turbo Kombat and Brutality Kombat and Infinite timer if you have them unlocked. It starts the match with 1 hp for everyone. Than just punch your opponent to finish the first round in 3 seconds. And in the 2nd round use Kenshi grab+hold down during the animation to preform his brutality which took 10 seconds. Use any icons or Exp boosts to your advantage for more experience. I timed the match it took me 35 seconds to start the fight, finish and fight in the next match. Every 5 ranks u get a new rank for better FXP rewards.

To reach level 50 in a faction, you will need 128,598 XP Points. Once you reach the maximum level for each faction, you won’t gain any XP for that faction and you need to change faction.

Please refer to Jump Ship trophy and unlock that trophy early in the game.

Warning: Every time you switch faction, your progress will be deleted and you need to start all over again for that faction, so bear this in mind and once you select a faction, stick with it until you reach level 50 to avoid unnecessary grinding.

Important: Also, keep track of all factions you have reached level 50 with. When reselecting a faction that you have already completed, it will reset your progress for that faction (XP back to 0!). There is no in-game counter to see which factions you have completed.

The 5 factions are:
  • Lin Kuei
  • Black Dragon
  • Brotherhood of Shadow
  • Special Forces
  • White Lotus
Remember: In order to change to another faction, you need to select Faction option from the Main Menu and then the last option: Change Faction.

In your Kombat Kard, you can see your Profile Level in the left corner and the Faction Level in the right corner.

You can also see your Faction XP when you are logged into online mode and select War Menu () in the main menu. Here in the left option called Member Profile, you can track how many points are needed to reach the next level in your faction.

It's very important to know that depending on what icon, border and background you have selected it will give you huge bonuses. If you boost FXP, you only select pieces that give you bonus FXP. When boosting personal XP, you only choose things that give you those kind of XP.

For example: Having unlocked and equipped the following items will greatly boost your FXP for every match:
  • Background: Shichiadan (+100 FXP per Match Win)
  • Icon: Hanzo (+75 FXP per Brutality performed)
  • Border: Completionist (+50 FXP per Match Win)
In a good match with a second controller and Danger modifier activated, you can earn around 575 XP in your faction performing a brutality. The game takes like 3 seconds, plus another 15 of loading screens. Here are the step of how to use this farming method:
  • You need to complete the story first.
  • Two controllers required.
  • Start a Two Players match, Kustom Match combat.
  • Selecting Shinnok (any Variant) as your 1st player and any other character as your 2nd player.
  • First player select Danger modifier (Both Players). The second player keep modifiers empty.
  • Confirm and select any map.
  • As soon as the game start perform a Brutality with Shinnok (Hold)
  • The reason for performing a brutality and not a fatality is it gives you more XP and takes less time.
With this method, you will reach level 50 with a faction in less than 90 minutes! It takes roughly 7-8 hours of farming to max out all 5 factions.

Maybe you want to see the full step by step guide to even reach this milestone slightly faster Here. Thanks to Obie83 for the tips.

This method can be used to unlock the Elder God trophy too (utilizing XP Items in your Kombat Kard instead of FXP items).

The way to get it is select a faction and than select best kombat card options for faction xp i recommend doing something like +75 fxp per win as scorpion because he has a quick brutality and than go into kustom kombat select danger and brutality kombat go into the match and do a quick brutality and rinse and repeat check out my yt channel link here for a video tutorial :

Best done with 2 controllers; 2 regular or a combination with a turbo controller/fightstick.

Once you pledge to a faction at the beginning of the game, you should take care of the Jump Ship trophy ASAP because once you switch, you will lose all progress you had.

Mortal Kombat XJump Shipotaku1412The Jump Ship trophy in Mortal Kombat X worth 40 pointsBecome a member of every faction

If you play through the story, you should be able to get to level 50 by simple story progression, if not in the high 40s. To boost levels, and to make things quick, follow this guide:

1. Sign into your account with your preferred controller
2. Sign into a guest account with your 2nd controller
3. Edit your Kombat Kard to allow the most Faction XP (FXP) to be given WITHOUT the condition of "per Faction Kill." You'll see why below.
4. Go to Two Players -> Kustom Kombat
5. For your side, use the Danger modifier for both sides and the Infinite Super Meter for you in case you have Brutalities with pre-requisites but one is an X-ray. For the 2nd controller side, don't add any modifiers.
6. Pick a character you want to farm with. You can swap between characters if things get dull, but that means you'll have to perform step 5 again.
7. Pick someone on the 2nd controller who you wanna kill a bunch.
8. Choose your location. You can go with Random, but I recommend Lin Kuei Temple so you can use the fireball if your character has conditions for their brutality.

Once it starts, you should have 5 seconds to perform your brutality. So make sure you have a character doesn't require combos (e.g. Johnny Cage) because you only have 1 hit to do it.

When you perform the brutality, you should receive a nice boost. And because we're doing brutalities, the modifier for Faction Kills is null in void. Simply wash, rinse, and repeat until you get to level 50. Every so often, you'll get new rewards that will give you even more FXP per win, so it's a good idea to check every 5-10 levels.

Once you get to level 50, return to the home screen and switch your faction under Faction. You'll lose your large XP boosts, but you should have each faction completed in less than 2 hours a piece. Keep track of the factions you've completed as there's no indicator on which ones you've done already.

There are a total of five factions in MK X, these are:

  • Lin Kuei
  • Black Dragon
  • Brotherhood of Shadow
  • Special Forces
  • White Lotus

To reach level 50 in your chosen faction, you need a total of 128,598 FXP, to unlock the achievement. You need to level up all five factions to level 50. This may seem like a daunting task but luckily there is a fairly quick way to grind this out if you have a second controller; it will just need a little preparation first. Before you even attempt this, you will need to do three things. The first is to complete story mode so you can unlock Shinnok as a playable fighter. Second whilst playing story mode you will want to complete the QTE related to Scorpion's chapter perfectly to unlock the 'Hanzo' Icon. Finally you will need to grab the 'Danger' modifier from the Krypt, which is located in the Frozen Graveyard area at (2,10). Now you have all that done you need to set up your Kombat Kard to maximize the FXP you receive per match. An example of a good set up is shown below:

  • Background: Hooligan - +75 FXP per match win (unlocked at level 30 with the Black Dragon faction)
  • Icon: Hanzo - +75 FXP per Brutality (unlocked after perfecting the Scorpion QTE during the story mode)
  • Border: Shinnok III - +75 FXP (unlocked after 25 wins with Shinnok's Immortal variation)

If you haven't unlocked the Shinnok border yet don't worry; you will have it unlocked in less than 10 minutes using the setup shown below:

  • Select Two Player > Kustom Match from the menu.
  • Select Shinnok for your fighter and whoever you want for the second controller.
  • Select the 'Danger Match' modifier for both players, this will start both fighters at 1% health, and start the match.
  • As soon as the fight begins immediately use Shinnok's Brutality, (HOLD) , to end the match.

Using the Kombat Kard setup shown you will be receiving 575 FXP per match. Each match takes around 20 seconds with loading times, so if you are diligent you can earn 80-100k FXP per hour. The background shown is unlocked at faction level 30 but you will unlock higher reward backgrounds as you level up your faction; +150 FXP at level 40 and +200 FXP at level 45 for example, making it even quicker the higher you level your faction. Before you reach level 30 with your faction, you can use the highest level faction background you have unlocked and just upgrade them every time you unlock the next tier. If you don't have a second controller, this will take considerably longer to unlock. The best method is still to customize your Kombat Kard to maximize FXP gain, but rather than Kustom Matches, you would play VS matches against the CPU on Very Easy difficulty (1 round) and still try to end the match with Shinnok's brutality. Another option is to start a Test Your Luck match on Very Easy with one modifier and them keep restarting the match until you have the 'Danger' modifier active then grind it out the same way as you would if you had two controllers.

NOTE: If you switch factions before reaching level 50, all your progress with the previous faction is lost.

0
0
There are a total of 5 factions in the game. Attention! when moving from one faction to another, all experience in that faction disappears. To avoid unnecessary boosts, switch only when you reach level 50 in a specific faction.

So, the experience can be boosted by connecting a second controller.

We beat the enemy until 5% of HP remains, then we perform Brutality (they give more experience for it).

In about 2-3 hours, you can get 128,598 HP required for level 50.

Repeat this 4 more times until you get the trophy.

Everything will take about 12-15 hours.

You can speed up the process if you have the "Battle Brutality" modifier. We start the battle and immediately do brutality in the first round. HP is instantly destroyed in one hit, significantly saving time.

To save a little more time, you need to go into training with 2 gamepads, select two modifiers: do not squat and the optional conditions for performing brutality, set the second player to do not squat, and with the second gamepad we drain all the hp in a couple of seconds and in the second round we do brutality.

The method is very fast in a minute, it turns out about 2-3 fights.

We play the try your luck mode with 1 round and 7 modifiers, wait until the battle brutality mod or the mod with 1 hp drops out, if one of these mods doesn’t drop out, press pause and start again - the mods will be re-selected as soon as they drop out - do brutality and a revenge match with the same modifiers, repeat until you get bored, the method is fast and effective and works with 1 controller.

In a customized battle, you can add the “hyper battle” and “turbo battle” modifiers to the “brutality battle” modifier. Then the process will go much faster

THE FASTEST BRUTALITY! Select: 2 joysticks, customized battle, brutality battle modifier...play as a scorpion (ninjutsu style)...Brutality: press forward and triangle....it only takes SECONDS! After the inscription FIGHT , without moving forward and a triangle . Pre-set the frame, background and icon to PROFILE EXPERIENCE, OR FACTION EXPERIENCE (example 200 XP) or 200 XP).

It's even easier with the "Danger" modifier - players start with 1xp.

In the settings we initially set it to 1 round. That is, with the very first blow we perform brutality.

If you need more than one scale for brutality, you can also install a mod for an infinite energy scale

For those who receive this trophy alone from two gamepads in a Customized battle with the “Battle of Brutality” modifier, I’ll tell you a way in which I saved quite a lot of time. After each battle, you need to select a replay for both the first and second player, which takes time. To speed up this process, select “Outer World Market”. We take the gamepad of the first player in one hand, and the second one in the second. After the battle starts, press , your character will bounce off the beast in the background, again and he will finish off the enemy with Brutality (with the help of his grandmother). Then from one gamepad we press , from the other .And again. This trophy can be obtained in this way even with your eyes closed, focusing only on sounds.

Here is my video guide. It is better to complete the trophy as the last one and get the “battle brutality” perk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prDq5qZq2Ug
