How do you unlock the obsidian form in the DLC ? Do you have to be in NG+ ?

Started this the other day and even using the cloud a run was not something easy to pull. I'm not looking forward to the final fight when using Tiel or the Obsidian Form.

how many cloud backups can i make and how are they done?

Fuck this is hard. Not to mention my only wins were with the super hard instinct which is op.

Got killed on ODF run because the game broke its own rules about invincibility during weapon specials + getting shafted by wonky riposte mechanics. Someone get me some Raid, there's a tonne of bugs about

If you die you can restore from the cloud by managing the game and deleting your local save but WITHOUT CLOSING the game.

Moonshine and mortal tokens are extremely helpful for the last fight.

Confirmed, exit reverie and reenter it will respawn weltcap...do not pickup gland

Could you please explain to me how do I exit the game to force a save to the cloud?

And what am I supposed to delete? I didn't fully understand what you said.

You force a cloud sync simply by quitting the game. That's all you need to do.

To delete a local save, without it uploading to the cloud first, you need to go to Manage Game without quitting the game. You then delete local save, which quits the game automatically. When you restart the game it syncs your previous cloud save to your console.

Just did this first try on seed 869148, I farmed the weltcaps after the Martyr boss fight till I had 200 of them. And only used them on the final fight vs the corrupted shades, if I was low on health and not near any rune towers to syphon health back I played the simple lute. Also used Axatana (Katanas) as my weapon, just using the running attack on pretty much everything.

If anyone goes the route of using the Axetana, particularly the axe part - make sure not to kill one of the final shade bosses using the weapon ability for the axe. It can ocassionally glitch the fight causing the next shade to not spawn, forcing a restart.

I opted to use a lot of Moonshine and spam the abilities, so I got hit with this glitch on my second ODF run. Weakening them using the axe ability and then finishing them off with regular attacks from either the axe or the katana prevented this bug.

After vanquising the ice boss, return to the Sester nearby. Opposite of her, to her left, an invisible Weltcap is lootable every 5min.Take a few hundreds over the cause of time within another Cycle, and use them in any Cycle. Also, there is a Guitar that increases Maximum Health, and it heals it while playing.

Just finished my Obsidian Run. It wasn’t too bad. As some have pointed out, you can harvest unlimited welt caps which make the last battle significantly easier. After you beat the ice boss, there will be a welt cap in front of the sester. After you take it, talk to the sester and leave the revelry. Once back in the “normal” world, walk back upstairs and talk to the statue girl and go back to the revelry. Grab another welt cap and repeat. I ended up using about 15 during the final boss fight. I used seed 999999. I was able to get Damage +7 but you can bet higher if you explore the levels more. Good luck.
