On Wednesday Evening after collecting the 8 Apples for mother, head back into the house and speak to mother by the downstairs "Bathroom." This will progress you into Wednesday Night, but before going to bed speak to your Brother at his bedroom door. He'll tell you mother is still out in the Orchard in the Shed. Head back out to the Orchard and speak to mother to get the "Rotten to the Core" achievement.
