How to unlock the Golden Boy achievement in Motocross Madness - Definitive Guide
As the achievement description states, you need to get a gold medal in all the events. There are 9 stages of each event, which totals out at 36 Gold medals.
There are 9 races - These are simple races. Come in first place and you will be given a gold.
There are 9 Rivals - These are more like time trials. You have to set the fastest lap to earn a gold.
There are 9 exploration - These are open world levels. To get a gold, you need to find all the skulls hidden around the level. The coins are not necessary for Gold, and you can switch between zones. EG In Egypt there are 3 zones, getting all skulls in Dunefields will get you a gold medal there, but you will need to get all the skulls in the other two zones to finish Egypt.
There are 9 Stunt sessions - These are just trick events. Beat the developers scores to get a gold.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
RACES - Personally I used the starting bike; "The Lancer" for all the races. It has pretty good all around skills. While the Cyclone might dominate the Lancer on speed, the Lancer has better handling and will take corners a lot easier. So for races I would recommend either the Lancer or Cyclone depending on play style. Try and learn the maps and where the short cuts are; these will help you massively.
Don't try and over do the stunts. Doing stunts earns you boost, but crashing will set you back a small way. It's better to land safe and keep going than smash and stop completely. Finally, try and keep up with the level recommendations. If it says Level A, try be an A or even an S. Always try match or beat the level recommendations.
RIVALS - These are time trials. You need to try set the fastest lap that beats the developers original times. These are best left to after you have finished all the races. Use a fast bike (Either the Lancer or Cyclone) and try make sure it's S rank. Obviously these are all about speed, but also try take advantage of any shortcuts which help take time off.
EXPLORATION - These are open world events that require you to find all the skulls to get Gold. You don't need to get the coins for a Gold medal; only the skulls. I would really recommend using a bike your comfortable with. I personally used the Lancer, but I did switch out to the Raptor for some of the skulls.
I would also recommend checking out Some Youtube videos to see where some of the skulls are hidden. They can be hidden quite well, and some are a pain to reach, so seeing how someone else reaches them can help. These are also not timed, so feel free to take it a bit easier if you wish.
STUNT EVENTS - These are all about the tricks and the stunts. Like Rivals mode, you need to beat the developers scores to get Gold. These maps have had some large ramps added, as well as multiplier coins that raise your mutliplier; normally by 2x or 3x.
I used the Raptor for these events, although any trick bike (check the stats for the trick skills) would work. Try and build up a high combo and pull off either a Y trick or if you can, a B trick. Go for the multipliers and go for lots of air to get the most points.
There are a few time icons located around the map that give you about 5 seconds more time; but I didn't find them very necessary. Don't go out of your way for these.
How I did it -
I used the Lancer for all the races, upgrading it as fast as I could. Once all the races were complete I used the Lancer to complete rivals. I then took this excess money to buy a trick bike (The Raptor) and upgraded it to S rank. Completed the trick events and then moved onto exploration events using Youtube videos. By this point I had nearly every bike at S rank.
Of course feel free to use whatever bike you feel best with. These are all just my personal recommendations. Drop me a message if you have any questions.

It's been so long since I played this game that I can only barely remember the tracks.
Is your bike meeting the level recommendations? Are there any shortcuts you might not be taking?

NOTE: THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS MISSABLE
I am late to the party with this game, but hopefully this information can help others.
I srarted playing this game multiplayer, on exploration. I got some of the skulls, so did my wife. When I went back to collect the other skulls they were missing. I read over comments and threads for this game and it appears I am not alone. If a co-op partner gets a skull in exploration you cannot get it with your main profile.
HOWEVER, all is not lost. I went in to the storage options for the game and deleted both the save game file and the profile file. This allowed me to start the game fresh and although I lost all progress towards money, xp and medals, it reset exploration mode so I could collect the skulls fresh and earn the gold medal.
Hope this helps!

You need to come in first place in every event for each game mode in the career. There are 4 game modes (Race, Rivals, Exploration & Trick Session) which consist of 9 events each, so a total 36 events. You will not have to worry about difficulty as the events seem to be consistent throughout progression and generally very easy to get a gold medal in all events. There is a skull guide to aid in getting all the gold medals in exploration.
