How to unlock the Number One achievement in Motocross Madness - Definitive Guide
Some of the information on this achievement was a little confusing when I went for it, but it turns out the achievement is really simple. You of course need a few friends with the game. If you do not know anyone, send out a few invites to people who own the game. They do not need to accept just leave the invite pending. You can also use a silver account on your console if you wish.
Restart the game once you have sent out invites. The game will not properly register friends on the club wall if you do not restart.
Now just look at the club wall and go to challenges. Click on any of the challenges that say "Club 1st" next to someone's name and get a higher score than the one posted for the achievement.
Edit: This achievement seems glitched since the DLC came out. Some have had better luck deleting the DLC and the club wall starts working again. It seems to be glitched whether or not you have the DLC but it is almost completely broken if the DLC is installed. Hold off on getting the DLC until you unlock the achievement or delete the DLC if you have it.
Some people have had better luck beating their own time in a Rivals match against a 2nd profile than doing the challenges which is how the achievement originally worked.
Edit 2: There is a comment Posted by RunningFreak204 that has helped a few people already. Try this if you are having trouble unlocking this achievement.
"I unlocked it by getting first on all "club no 1" challenges in the bike club. I had 3 assigned and couldn't compete vs my friend due to network error. Instead, I faced the developers and won gold all 3 times. After the 3rd challenge, the cheevo popped. Pls note: i didnt have the dlc. Good luck with this one!"

After reading through the other guides on this achievement... I can confirm it is as simple as you have stated here. Thumbs up for keeping it plain and simple :)

Despite having 19 friends that have played this game, my "challenges" wall is blank. I have restarted the game multiple times, and the "complete 5 tasks" achievement popped just fine.

So looking at the other solutions and the comments to it, there's a LOT of confusion regarding this achievement. After trying some of the solutions - and not understanding some too - I finally figured it out.
You can use a secondary account for this, even a silver one. Your secondary account needs to be friends with your main account. I am assuming that by this point, you've gotten gold in all events. Be aware that taking a late level for this, requires you to play quite a bit with the secondary account to even reach that race/event.
- Take your secondary account, play through the tutorial (if you haven't already) and play a race - using the very first race is fine unless you've raced this on a fast bike with a fast time on your main account - win the gold medal in that race, and make sure to beat your main accounts time.
- Your main account should have access to better and faster bikes, and upgrades too. Use this to your advantage and beat your secondary accounts time.
Achievement should pop at the score screen.
Good luck! If I've missed something, let me know and I'll add to the solution.

I didn't read your solution prior to my doing exactly the same strategy. I was able to nail this achievement for both accounts. Thumbs up as this is a perfect solution.
As stated, if both accounts are friends, you will automatically be added to the club upon startup. Plus, you'll nab some instant FameStar points, too.
As a side note, I have the DLC loaded on my console, so no glitch for me.

Do I need to wipe my friend's list temporarily if I opt to use a second account? I've reached first on a few races, so I'm not sure what requirement I need to meet.

I got this achievement using the "Rivals" event. I had 2 friends on the club wall for Pharaoh's Tomb, but failed to beat either of them in my first race (only 1 lap). I did, however, get a gold medal. The 2nd time I raced this event, there were 3 laps. My best lap put me on the top of the club wall, and the achievement popped.
Just wanted to add that you must be sure
1) Select a challenge from the >start>challenges menu
2) Select a challenge that has the words "Club 1st" instead of a motocross rider icon
I did, or tried, an easy challenge at least 15 times and got nothing and quit. It was a Longest Jump Distance, from an exploration level, and a pretty short one at that.
Later on I noticed a new challenge with the "Club 1st" on it and got it the first attempt. A Biggest Score, from a trick session level.
When you beat the challenge the achievement should pop while receiving the money, unlocks, and experience rewards after you complete the challenge level.
You should get a 300xp bonus for beating the top spot, but for me at least, the challenge is still in the challenge list under the previous owner.

I've never seen anything in the challenges tab. I've gotten gold in the races and rivals and have beaten times and have got nothing

Here's a brief outline on what to do to get this to pop easily and I'm suggesting you should do this as the first thing in the game.
I did this with multiple gold accounts on 1 xbox, so change this up slightly if you are doing it with a friend by boosting
1. Temporarily delete everyone with the game from your friends list (check the TA Friends Score in this Game list for ease).
2. With the main account win the first race, set a slow total race time, but make sure you come in 1st and get a gold medal, you will be top of the club wall
3. Fire up the second account and then become friends or do likewise with your boost buddy
4. The 2nd account completes race 1 with a time only slightly faster total race time and makes sure they come first and get the gold medal, putting them top of the club wall
5. On the main account go back into the game, the main account should now get a challenge, accept this challenge from the main menu and beat the time, again getting a gold medal for coming first.
6. The main account should get the achievement at the money & XP post race screen, there is a 300 XP bonus associated to getting this achievement, so if you don't see that there is something wrong.
Now this is where it may fall over for the 2nd account, as I'm not sure that even if the 2nd account beats the new challenge they will get the achievement, I'm not even sure if they can ever unlock the achievement against that main account, so be warned.
So here's why I say that, this next part is not really a solution, but bear with me.....
I'm not sure why, but for some reason I had real problems unlocking this achievement using the method described in the solution by https://www.trueachievements.com/B+A+R+4+D.htm
Here was my experience, just in case someone has something similar.
I started the game and had a whole bunch of people with good times, so I raced the first track and set a time and got the gold medal and was 3rd on the club wall.
I then deleted the top 2 friends so this jumped me up to top of the club wall, I did not have any of the badges in the lower right flaming.
I fired up a 2nd gold account and beat my total time by a tiny margin getting a gold medal, then returned to my main profile and did the challenge but nothing popped...ummmmm
I fired up the 2nd profile and beat the challenge back and then the 2nd profile got the achievement, OK I thought, strange but OK, so I then went back to my main profile and beat the challenge back but nothing popped.
All the time this was on the first track and I was coming in first and getting gold with both accounts.
I tried back and forth, swapping the top of the club wall position, only beating the time by a fraction each time with this 2nd account but no matter how many times I tried I could not get the achievement to pop on my main account. I even tried having all the badges flaming red, but nothing would trigger it.
I was starting to think there may be some kind of issue with trying to get this achievement from someone who won it against you, so as I have a family gold I tried something else.
On 2 fresh accounts (call them 3 & 4) I used the method I outline in the steps above and the achievement popped for account 3 without issue, so I know that works.
So, buoyed by this success I removed the 2nd account I had been using from my friends list and friended the 3rd account that had unlocked the achievement.
With my main account I set a time on race 2 but didn't get gold but did have all flaming badges, which put me top of the club wall
I then raced and beat the time marginally with account 3, but again I didn't get gold but did get top the top position
I went back to the main profile and accepted the challenge from account 3 and beat the time, again probably as I didn't get gold I didn't get the achievement, which is when I was starting to get really pissed off.
So as my last resort, I tried the following and got it to pop
I set another slow time race 2 with my main account, but this time got the gold medal for coming first.
I beat that time with a slightly faster gold medal time with account 4 (the account which did not have the achievement)
I fired up the main profile and beat the challenge from the main menu and got the achievement to unlock, at which point I was very happy and decided I'd better write something down in case 1 person in the future has similar problems.
As I say I'm really not sure why I had so many problems, especially as all the races with the 2nd account were gold medal times and kept me switching top of the club wall positions.
As mentioned above, I noticed that you get a specific 300 XP bonus when the achievement unlocks, not the 100 multiples you get for badge ownership, so if you don't see that there is something wrong.
Good Luck.

First ...remove all your friends who play(ed) this game.
You don't need to use the challenge wall !
Did this on the 1st race !
1-set race time with main account
2-set better time with silver account (achievement will unlock for silver account)
3-set best time with main account (achievement will unlock for main account)
Hope this helps
Ps. I do NOT own the DLC

This achievement is easily the most difficult achievement in this entire game, purely because it is glitched for at least some people (including myself, initially). Here is what you need to do:
First you must have friends that have played enough of this game to have set bests in your club (i.e. best times on tracks, biggest drift, furthest slingshot etc). If you do not have friends that have this game you can press the back button from the menu and hit RB a few times until you get to the member recommendation tab. Now you can send a few friend requests, restart the game and you will probably have some challenges to compete in. (if not send more invites or send me a friend request)
Choose the challenge that you think will be easiest to complete in the challenges tab on bike club and then complete it. If you succeed the achievement is supposed to unlock. As the game ends you should get an avatar famestar notification before the achievement pops. Since this achievment is so glitchy I would advise playing until the end of the event even if the challenge has been completed instead of just exiting the game as the achievement came up for me only once I finished the event and the avatar famestar notification came up before the results screen.
If this has not worked my only advice is to do what I did and keep trying over and over until the achievement unlocks, I can confirm that if it is glitched at first and does not unlock that doesn't mean it won't unlock when you complete more challenges. It took me around 10 attempts for this to work but in case someone else is having problems the exact challenge I got the achievement on was on the map 'The Ruins' and it was a trick session where I had to beat my friend's total score.

There are a bunch of solutions here. However, it's worth saying what I had work since it seems different things work for different people.
I had people originally on my friend's list that had played the game. Every time I would boot up a game against them on the speedwall, the game would tell me network issues. I would race against the developers. This did not unlock the achievement for me. So after being frustrated, here's exactly what I did:
Assumption: You've been playing this game for a while already and have beaten the tutorial and first level.
1. On your main profile, get to the title screen. Hit the back button to open the bike club. Hit the right bumper to go over to 'members'. On the left side will be a list of all your friends who own the game. Go over a name, press the 'Y' button to show gamer card, and remove them as a friend. Do this for everyone. If you want to retain your friends later, make sure you write down their names somewhere so you can send friend requests again afterwards.
2. Quit to dashboard. Sign in with a secondary account. It can be silver. I actually did this in the 'demo version' of the game since my xbox was being stupid. Beat the tutorial. Then, click 'continue career' after you close the introduction to the bike club that it gives you. Choose the first level. Note your primary profile's time. You'll need to beat that. Though you don't want to demolish it - keep it somewhat close. Finish the face, allow the game to autosave.
3. Quit to dashboard. Sign in with your primary profile. Boot up the game. NOW: When I hit the 'back' button to open the bike club I did not have anything under my 'challenges' tab. This discouraged me initially. However, what I did was back out of that and just click on 'continue career'. Click on the 'pharoah's tomb' grouping, and you will see that 'pharaoh's tomb' is the first available level. Your secondary account should now have the top time. Note the top time in your head. Play the level from HERE. Your goal is to beat that top time.
4. As you get your experience/rewards at the end of the race, the achievement should pop.
Look, this might not work for you, but that doesn't mean give it a downvote. It seems to work a variety of different ways for many different people, so maybe this one will work for you.
Good luck!

When you select and event and are on the start event/garage page, you will see the club wall on the left below the event poster. You need to post a time in a race, have a friend beat this time, then the game will send you a challenge to beat their time in that event. Accept and win this challenge to unlock the achievement. If there is a challenge awaiting, it will pop up as a bike club message when booting the game up, then your challenge(s) can be found in the bike club.
