You need 51,000xp to reach level 10. Win gold medals throughout the Career and this will come in no time. It took me about 3 hours to reach level 10 and I played mostly Rivals & Races until I unlocked Trick which gives even more XP for shorter events.

Like Teamwork, this achievement didn't unlock for me when I met the criterion; instead I played another event, and then it popped.

If you can be bothered to complete the avatar famestar challenges, "star" level grants a permanent 10% xp boost (3,500 famestar points). At "megastar" you get a 7-day 25% xp boost which can be renewed ghost earning more famestar points.

You level up the skill levels with XP which is earned by performing tricks, collecting gold coins and winning the gold badge in events. You need 51,000XP to reach level 10.
