How to unlock the Sponsored achievement in Motorcycle Club - Definitive Guide

There are 27 missions to complete in the game, they can be viewed by going Main Menu > The Club > Missions. Some of them have multiple tiers, some not. Contrary to what the trophy description suggests, you must complete every mission and every tier. On top of this, you can only make progress / complete the 3 missions that are currently available to you. You can see these in the pre-race selection screen or even better, when you press pause ( for PS3 or  for PS4) during a race, as this screen will show your progress.

With that in mind, if you come across a mission which isn't cumulative and won't come naturally (finish last in a race for example) then get it out of the way. However, only do missions like the one I just mentioned if you are in the clean-up stage, or if you'd prefer to do them earlier, via quick race at Main Menu > Races > Quick Race. Once completed, there's a chance a more desirable mission will become available, for instance jumping 30 ramps.

Missions cannot be completed online.

Also, the next mission won't be available immediately. You'll need to finish your current race and get the credits associated with the mission before the next one appears.

The missions and tips to help you unlock them are as follows:

  • Do an 80 / 180 meter wheelie
    • This is very simple to do. To pull a wheelie, pull back  while accelerating. Most straights in the game will be long enough for you to achieve both of these distances.
  • Do a wheelie for 1 / 3 km
    • This is cumulative and will start counting when you unlock the mission. You will be pulling wheelies a lot during the game for high stunt scores, so this will come naturally.
  • Cross the finish line while doing a wheelie
    • You can do this at most finish lines in the game. When you are about to end the race, pull back on the to wheelie over the finish. Do it as early as you can, too late and you won't bring your wheel up fast enough.
  • Go over a ramp 3 / 5 times in the same race
    • This does not mean the same ramp, it means go over any ramp in the race. Hence, your first 3 or 5 ramps will net you this mission.
  • Go over 10 / 30 ramps
    • This will come naturally since there are multiple ramps on each track and you'll go over a lot of them by accident. This is cumulative across races.
  • Jump farther than 30 / 50 m
    • The majority of ramps in the game will allow you to jump these distances. I found I would get more airtime with the custom bike so try that if you are struggling. The sides of a ramp are also more steep and will get you more airtime so approaching them awkwardly is often beneficial.
  • Change motorcycles 3 / 5 times in the same race
    • This will likely come naturally when there is race with a lot of broken track but if you want to knock it out early, spam  or  in a race to bag this mission.
  • Change motorcycles 20 / 35 times
    • This is cumulative across multiple races, however if you want to just get it done, spam  or  in a race. You can easily get the 35 in a single race if you'd like.
  • Get caught by a speed camera at 200 / 230 km/h
    • This is 124 / 143 mph if you are like me and switch the units. Nearly every superbike in the game is faster than this, especially when you use boost, so you'll likely achieve these missions in the first race you play after unlocking them. There are usually 3 speed cameras located on a track so you'll get 9 opportunities on a standard race.
  • Slip into an opponent's wake 1 / 3 times in the same race
    • An opponent's wake is their slipstream, and slipping into their wake is more commonly known as drafting. Get up behind an opponent 1 or 3 times and you'll get this easily. It's more than likely you will get this just by pulling off the starting grid. It does not mean the same opponent, it can be any opponent.
  • Slip into an opponent's wake 10 / 35 times
    • As above - keep drafting opponents, but this one is cumulative across races. You do not even need to get the drafting stunt score for one of these to count, getting behind them for a second is enough.
  • Be in the starting grid 5 times
    • Once this mission is unlocked, it will be completed after you have played 5 races.
  • Finish a race in first place 1 / 5 times
    • After this mission becomes available, you'll need to win 1 or 5 races. Only race position counts for this. Stunt position is irrelevant.
  • Finish a race in last place 1 / 5 times
    • After this mission becomes available, you'll need to be last in 1 or 5 races. Only race position counts for this. Stunt position is irrelevant. This is one of those that won't happen naturally, you'll need to try for it.
  • Brush against objects 5 / 10 times in the same race
    • You will need to get the near miss stunt for this mission, "brush against" is a little misleading since touching an object will void a near miss. You will likely get this naturally, but if you want to get it done quickly, skim close to walls and ramps as often as possible.
  • Brush against objects 50 / 100 times
    • You will need to get the near miss stunt for this mission, "brush against" is a little misleading since touching an object will void a near miss. You will get this naturally, but if you want to get it done quickly, skim close to walls and ramps as often as possible. It is cumulative across races.
  • Brush against 5 / 10 / 15 motorbikes in the same race
    • You will need to get the near miss stunt for this mission, "brush against" is a little misleading since touching another bike will void a near miss. You may not get this naturally, especially the 15 near misses. To get it done pick a race with lots of broken track and try to get a lot of near misses with bikes early on off the starting line. Then, keep letting everyone pass you and then catch them to get near misses. On the broken track, switch to your custom bike and get near misses with the slower moving superbikes. I found Windtown Lane perfect for these bike near misses as the other racers stay fairly bunched up and you can keep accelerating past and then letting them pass to get a few on both passes. It will take a couple of laps but it's easily doable.
  • Brush against 20/30/40 motorbikes
    • You will need to get the near miss stunt for this mission, "brush against" is a little misleading since touching another bike will void a near miss. This is cumulative so it will come naturally but you can always speed it up. You will get several near misses per race this way.
  • Complete 1 / 5 entire laps without bumping anything
    • For these either get a big lead and then coast around for a lap or 2 avoiding all objects, or stay behind and do the same. Staying behind is probably the better option since you won't get bikes coming from nowhere and smashing into, unless you go very very slowly.
  • Go 1 / 10 full laps without changing motorbikes
    • This is easier done on the tracks with avoidable or no broken road. This way you won't be tempted to switch over to your custom bike. Now just keep racing and don't switch bikes in a lap. Cosby Coast is good for these.
  • Cross the finish line with a motorbike that is not the one you started with
    • Cross the finish line with either your roadster or custom bike, since you always start with the superbike.
  • Cross the finish line with the motorbike you started with
    • Cross the finish line with the superbike, since you always start with this.
  • Take part in 3 different races in a row
    • When it says 3 races, it means 3 tracks. This will likely come naturally, but if you do play on the same track more than once in a 3 race period, it will reset your progress.
  • Take part in 5 different races
    • This basically means play on 5 different tracks. Remember, even if you have clearly played on every track, the missions only count from when they are unlocked. So when this one is available, play on 5 different tracks.
  • Take part in the same race 3 times in a row
    • Again, this means play on the same track 3 times in a row. Pick a shorter track like Cosby Coast and take part in 3 races.
  • Take part in the same race 5 times
    • This basically means play on the same track 5 times. Remember, the missions only count from when they are unlocked. So when this one is available, play on the same track 5 times. Use Cosby Coast to grind this out as it is the shortest.
  • Use all the turbo in one go when the gauge is full
    • This is the nearly the same as the trophy  Street Hawk. You will need to build up your boost in the ways mentioned in that trophy then use it all up by pressing and holding  until it is depleted. However this mission says nothing about hitting anything so it should be even easier.

In general, this is done as the tournament progresses. But some are better done in “quick visits”, so as not to spoil Short and Sweet . For example, tests where you need to be last or restart the race.
