You don't have to actually enter ANY locations, just walk around on the map and get within scouting distance of each.

So I tried to use the in-game manual tracking from the settlement encyclopedia to help. Aside from slightly lagging my game when tracking everything at the same time, some settlements also automatically get un-tracked by the game. For sure it happens when a town changes hands, and I've seen it happen when after a village gets raided as well. Not sure about other triggers. Anyway, you can try this if you can eradicate all fighting in your game, like maybe in a save file where you got the Supreme Ruler achievement or executed every noble. I gave up and am now writing everything down instead.

Pretty sure a recent update must have busted this achievement or something. I've gone through the encyclopedia, made a list of every village, castle, and town. As I was playing I kept track of each settlement I visited. After reaching around 50% from natural play I went around visiting the remaining to just to get this achievement done. I didn't mark any settlement as visited until I reached the settlement. I would buy one item from every village and visit the keep of every castle and town, basically just try to interact with the settlement in some way. Have done this twice on two separate playthroughs and no achievement. Even went through the encyclopedia afterwards and started looking through each settlement to see if the notables there were still hidden. Didn't finish because that was giving me a headache, but for now no longer care.

I definitely didn’t explore the entire map when this unlocked (maybe half). It popped when I went to a castle and requested entry. Right before that I went to a town and requested entry into the lord’s hall and paid the bribe. Maybe you have to explore each type of area in a settlement?

This so frustrating. I must have done this multiple times. Iv just started a new playthrough to get it. Scoured the map twice over. No achievement. It’s driving me insane. Has anyone else had problems with this? Maybe I’m missing something but with no reliable way to track which ones you have visited this is a very frustrating achievement I have wasted far too much of my precious little gaming time on

Cptvictor12 thanks for the reply mate, likewise il keep you posted. It feels to me like it’s broken I’m fairly confident I have visited every settlement. Allegedly they removed a settlement in one of the updates which may have invalidated the achievement on old saves. I started a new game to test this and systematically visited every settlement at least once but still nothing. An achievement like this really does need some sort of tracker

Definitely bugged. I took a screengrab of the whole map and checked off each location after I went inside each village, castle and town I owned, and for the few castles and towns still owned by enemies, I made sure to at least talk to the enemy noble at the walls. It didn't pop. Add this to the long list of bugged achievements for this game.

@Krushner20 I also didn't have this unlock. I wonder if an update changed the trigger for this achievement (or broke it). In my attempt, I made sure to enter every town, castle, and village on the map (I tried it without looking at guides first). I was admittedly pretty tired, so it's possible I missed one. Like you said there's no way to tell if you visited one before. It doesn't help that so many are either in the middle of, or at the butt end of absolutely nowhere (I have a particular grievance against the villages at the southeast corner of the map). This guide and another one I found says you only need to walk nearby, but since everything is visible on the map already, there's no way to tell exactly how close "nearby" is. Anyway, I'm going to do some research and give it another try before reporting anything.

For the trophy you need to visit all the cities and castles (villages are not needed). You do not need to enter and run around the city/castle, just drive into the city/castle (for the castle you must request a passage). For convenience, you can put a mark next to the settlement.
