How to unlock the From the Top achievement in Mulaka - Definitive Guide

Late to the party, as I just finished this today... but here goes:

There are 7 worlds or areas in the game, plus the final boss world that doesn't show up on the map. In the final world, you need to platform your way around a mostly sky world by using the bird function and occasionally the puma function to jump up rock faces.

Eventually, you will come to a giant rock/earth monster. The boss battle is more of a sub boss that is under mind control and once you beat him, the rock face will open up and you will need to jump into a vat of reddish liquid. It looks like you're jumping into a vat of smelted iron... and THAT takes you too the final boss battle. To beat the sub boss, you need to destroy about a dozen red crystal gems that are on his legs and back. You have to destroy them in order. They are glowing red and if they are blacked out, that means you can't attack them. Occasionally he will spit out small enemies for you to fight such as frogs, but this area is super easy. Slightly time consuming if you fall of his back and need to jump back up (you can use the puma at the start to scale his legs, but then the ledges disappear and you will need to scale the valley walls and fly as the bird onto his back).

Once that's done, you fall into a nether world type area and you face a gauntlet of enemies. You face basically every bad guy in the game from weakest to hardest, until you finally beat the giant stone golem (the one where you use the snake freeze and bear attack to knock him over, then hit him in the head).

Then onto the final boss! He's not that hard. He has a protective cover but routinely flashes "open" and you can throw your spear at his exposed heart. When his happens, you have a few seconds to run up and attack his heart before he recovers. There are a couple stages or patterns to his attack. Sprint, dodge and fly are crucial during the phase where he turns into slime and chases you. There is only a SMALL window to throw your spear at his heart to make him vulnerable and often, only from the side. Hit it then hack and slash. Rinse and repeat.

Some strategies for this final level:

1) Make sure you've purchased a lot of upgrades. If you're going for 100% you should have all or at least most by now. They're not necessary but will make the battles easier.
2) Save up your Aloe for health/soul recovery. Try to have 10 of each thing as Rage + Barrier can help, but aloe is the big one for health.
3) The arena is HUGE so you can use your sprint to get away from the bad guys, do your dance for health, rage or barrier and then get back into the fight. Don't perform the dances near enemies. Create space.

Apart from collecting 26 ghosts for the achievement 'A Link Between Worlds' and the artifacts (which have no bearing on game progress and don't count towards any achievements) there are no side quests, missions or level progression milestones that you need to complete in order to progress through the game, so this achievement really is a very easy one to unlock.

Of course, you will need to track down the 3 Spirit Stones in each level in order to gain access that level's boss (all of the stones are given as rewards for either completing puzzles or certain mini-fights), which can take some time. However, all of this is story-related. As a rough estimate, without collecting the ghosts or artifacts, I completed each level in around 20-30 minutes (boss included).

The maps are small and some of them are quite linear in layout, so you shouldn't get lost. If you are ever stuck, you can press RB to activate Sukuruame Sight which will show you where the remaining Spirit Stones are and can help with general guidance.

This trophy will unlock after you have beaten the game but before before the credits roll.

Story related and can't be missed. Below is a basic strategy I found to beat the bosses.:

Wa'ruara Seeló (boss of Paquimé): When he's on land, hit him 2-3 times and then dodge. When he's flying, hit him with a throwing spear to force him to land. When he makes a circle of clones around you, you can use the throwing spear but it's more effective to hit him with a bomb (dpad-right.png).

Wa'ruara Rusíwali (boss of Resó Rekubí): Throw a spear to a tentacle in ground level, and it will shoot gas upwards, then use the Woodpecker transformation (button-a.png,button-a.png) to use this stream to get to the mid level ledges. Repeat the process to get to the top. Then throw a spear to each of the six mouths. The second phase is similar but there are six additional mouths, plus Rusíwali Kuta enemies flying around.

Wa'ruara Watákari (boss of Arareko): In this area you learn to make Shield potions and they are very helpful to defeat this boss. The first phase is simple enough: just avoid the boss attacks and when it starts sucking air (to throw it back at you), you have to get behind one of the green fish and use the Bear move (hold button-y.png) in the direction of the boss. If it gets hit, it will be stunned and you can damage it by hitting its mouth. After a while, it will summon frog enemies and the bigger ones can get in the way. This is when the shield potion comes in handy. Just get far from all enemies, use a shield potion (dpad-left.png), and you can concentrate on dealing with the boss.

Ganoko Kubechi trio (bosses of Hueráach): In this area you get the Puma transformation which includes a Puma attack; the latter I found useful for this boss fight and in general. Just run towards one of the bosses with rt.png and then when you are close press button-x.png and Mulaka will transform in to a Puma and do a special attack (costs magic). Keep running to avoid the bosses' attacks and hit them when they are not doing one of their attacks.

Ganoko (boss of Basacheéchi): Dodge the boss attacks, and eventually it will do a move in which its hand will be encased in vines. Use the serpent transformation lt.png and then the Bear move (hold button-y.png) and after that it will drop to the ground and you have to hit it in the head with normal attacks, or a Bear move or Special attack if available. Dodging the boss attacks is pretty simple for the most part, except maybe for its rolling attack. When it attempts that attack, just run (rt.png) away from it and dodge at the last second.

Ganó (boss of Bakówala): You have to hit some red crystals to free this boss. It's easy enough at first, but after a few ones it will be harder because you'll need to get on its back using the Puma transformation (button-a.pngbutton-b.png), destroy more crystals and at some point it will move a lot. Use the Woodpecker transformation cn_Acn_A) to avoid getting off its back and to ground level. If you get to ground level, you can avoid the enemies and to either side to use the Puma transformation to get on a ledge, and then use the Woodpecker transformation to get on the back of the boss again.

Teregori (final boss): The boss is only vulnerable when it shows its skeletal form. When it does that, throw a spear towards it and then hit it with regular attacks, special attacks or a combination of both. Most of its attacks can be avoided by running, although there is one in which you need to dodge at the last moment (like Ganó's rolling attack). When it summons enemies you can deal with them or ignore them if they are not an immediate threat.
