How to unlock the Scorned achievement in Murdered: Soul Suspect - Definitive Guide

Scorned - Katy Side Mission

One of the many side missions you can play in Salem. You will come across Katy (next to a couple) roaming the city of Salem or after you leave the Ashland Hills Cemetery. When you talk to Katy this question will be asked.

Did he cheat on me?

First possess the Woman and use the only clue you have Broken Hearted. After she speaks, you will get the clue Shoulder to Cry On.

Next possess the Man and use the first clue again Broken Hearted. After he speaks, you will get the clue Ex-Girlfriend's Suicide.

You are now ready to finish your investigation, answer the question and Help Katy find peace. IMPORTANT you must place these clues in order or it will say its incorrect.

Shoulder to Cry On

EDIT: Multiple gamers have had issues with this achievement not unlocking properly. It shows 100% but achievement isnt popping. If anybody has any ideas on how to get it to pop please let us know. Thanks

Should the achievement pop as soon as the mission concludes like the others? If so this is glitched for me.

I reloaded the checkpoint and continued with the main story, so the mission isn't complete and I can try again later. Got to the point where you gain the ability to teleport and the achievement for using that didn't unlock, either.

Had a look around online and there's a sizable XBL service alert active ATM, so I can only assume it's down to that. Possibly problems with the cloud and therefore it isn't registering achievements?

Wow. Ill put it as glitchy but I've heard many ppl not pop achievements with this game

Yea after you finish it unlocks. Do a compare with a friend to see if it says 100%. If it does it's glitched and it should pop on its own at a later time. It's happened to others and to me on Valiant Hearts.

yea the poltergeist one didnt unlock untill i did something at the police station, should have unlocked before that

I completed this yesterday, and never thought twice about it popping an achievement, as I had a collectables guide opened instead. It wasn't until tonight that I checked to see which achievements i had left to do and noticed it was still locked. Not sure what to do now, as I am at Judgement House, and way past that mission. If its the only achievement i have left, I will probably try another run through the game. Otherwise, its likely a broken achievement. Cause I need another one of them.

Hello everyone, here's another video method showing the exact method for obtaining this achievement without any mistakes. Pretty simple achievement but it never hurts to have insight.

*MISSABLE*

This achievement can be unlocked either before you enter or after you exit the Graveyard. This is a short side investigation unrelated to the main story where you help someone find peace and pass on to the afterlife. Outside of the graveyard gates, you will see an angry ghost girl looking at a young couple standing against a railing. To initiate it, talk to Katy and she will reveal that she thinks her boyfriend betrayed her. You need to possess both the man and the woman to find out if the man really loved Katy.

  1. Possess the man and select the ‘Broken Hearted’ clue. Listen to what he has to say.
  2. Possess the woman and select the ‘Broken Hearted’ clue. Listen to what she has to say.

You will find out that he had been faithful to Katy and wouldn’t have found his new girl Susana if Katy hadn’t committed suicide. Piece together all three clues to conclude the investigation, then return and talk to Katy again, listen to her and the achievement will unlock.

Katy is located in the Cemetery or alternatively outside of the Cemetery, you need to help her figure out if her boyfriend was cheating on her.

This trophy is titled "Scorned" and it requires you to help a ghost woman named Katy who is angry that her living ex is engaged to another woman.

You'll find Katy standing near the entrance to the Ashland Hills Cemetery. Speak with her to begin the investigation.

To get this achievement you need to convince the ghost that her boyfriend loved her.

At the exit from the cemetery you will see a girl - a ghost. Approach her and find out what she wants. She wants us to find out whether her boyfriend cheated on her or not. After penetrating the girl’s boyfriend’s thoughts with the help of the “Heartbroken” evidence, we compose a logical chain of three data: heartbroken + death of an ex-girlfriend + cry into her vest. We return to the ghost with good news.

The girl giving the task is located next to the entrance to the cemetery. It is simply impossible to miss her. You can always return there before the final scene. The "quest" itself is the easiest
