If you are struggling with this one I just found a very chill and relaxing combo for this game, Retro on Blue Neon.
It is extremely easy on the eyes and fairly slow so theres a bonus.

Great suggestion, especially as the D pad doesn't switch to the middle of the adjacent lane as in the later 'Ultimate' versions (I've found that it does using an Elite V2 controller on Series X so probably a difference in 'output pulse' and thus degree of movement). Only got 566/870 on 1st attempt but that unlocked my missing 3 star achievement! 688/870 on 2nd try, so an easy 3 star

Start any song and try to score as high as possible. For the first song "Wait For Love", I think you need over 550. I found it easiest to buy the "Retro" level and play on that level as the road does not have as many huge hills.

i found the song sapphire easier to 3 star.

Thanks for the comment. I didn't really try much of other songs and kind of assumed first song is easiest and it gets progressively harder. :)

Great tips got it first try, adding to this the colorful style is totally flat. So no hills to worry about and only 1.000 to purchase too. Cheers

The star trophies don't stack. This can be done on zen mode so you don't have to worry about hitting any obstacles and ending your run. It is fairly lenient so this shouldn't be too hard to obtain. If you have trouble, try changing the camera distance in the settings to be able to see more of what is coming ahead of you. The first Retro stage is also fairly flat and easier to see.
