How to unlock the Archaeologist achievement in Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden - Definitive Guide

This requires all DLC Artifacts and main game Artifacts. See

for info on Artifacts from the main game. They allow new Pripp upgrades so, like the main game, you’ll want them fast anyway.

Here are the locations for the 4 new Artifacts:

Hellraiser Grenade - Mausoleum of Suburbia
Goddess of Hunger - Hall of Electric Coffins
Luxus Hand Warmer - The Frozen City
Bluebottle Wand - The Last Stand, this is the only one it’s kind of easy to miss, it’s over by where the Med Bots stand, the small ruined building by the big building with the boss, ground floor in the corner.

As for upgrades: the extra Grenade Damage is easily the most powerful. The 30% store discount upgrade can be put off until you need to stock up a bunch of Grenades or whatever, the store never stocks new weapons or armor during the DLC. The Med Kit upgrade isn’t necessary if you’re trying to do the run without Med Kits (until there’s nothing else to buy, anyway, otherwise get it second). The Molotov upgrade is... meh, I don’t think it’s important but you might like it. I only use them if the 12 damage from a Grenade would be a waste or if multiple heavily armored enemies group up.

It’s been long enough that I don’t recall the exact mechanics that this game uses for NG+. As I recall you can examine the artifacts in your inventory screen (you have to dig a little bit), any that you already have should count but I would guess that the game requires them to all be in your inventory at the same time to pop. Regardless there’s not that many and there’s other reasons to visit each area so you’ll have the opportunity to collect them. It’s been a long time since I played this game so if you find that any details are wrong and want to let me know I’ll update the guide.
