Since I cannot write a complete solution for the entire story I just want to provide some information and advice.

"Without losing a single crew member" means you are allowed to use a medikit on someone that goes down during fight. So you can only void the achievement if you let one of the characters bleed out completely.
EDIT: According to Pilule 95, if you mind control an enemy and then kill him while he is still under your control, the achievement will not unlock. I have not encountered this problem as I only used Magnus for a couple of fights in the entire game.

The iron mutant option:
1. does not let you save the game manually
2. enables permadeath: if all characters die in a fight, it's game over.

So on iron-mutant the game will only save:
1) at the end of a fight,
2) when you travel from one area to another
3) each time a new enemy turn begins.

If you accidentally trigger a save during a fight that you know you cannot win (maybe because you were trying to take out someone silently but got caught) don't despair. There's a trick, used in many other games, that have saved me multiple times. In fact I even used it to unlock this achievement. The first time I reached Eden it gave me the other iron-mutant related achievements but not this one. So I used the trick, played the last couple of rounds of the previous fight again and when I entered Eden the achievement unlocked.
So when you trigger the save you don't want, press cn_guide, then cn_start on the game tab, go to Manage game and delete your save from the console. If done correctly, the game will not be running anymore. When you restart the game it will load a previous save that has been synchronized to the cloud and you'll have lost 15\30 minutes at maximum. Better than start the game over a single mistake.
Keep in mind that each time that you close the game the last save will be uploaded to the cloud. So when using the trick, NEVER close the game. Just press the guide button and then the manage game option.

And finally some game-play tips.
The most important one is: be silent as much as possible, always.
It is basically a stealth game. Even a 3 vs 3 or 3 vs 2 can be lethal if you have not prepared the fight. Always try to take out enemies silently one by one with silent weapons. Scout the area and make sure that the enemy you are about to attack is not inside any other enemy's circle.
For this reason you want to upgrade the silent weapons first. There are only three of them.
You start with the crossbow on Dux and Selma will have the ancient pistol equipped when you find her (pretty soon in the game). The final silent weapon is the Mimir pistol, which is found in the "Fallen Angel" level, where pretty much every enemy is.

As for the mutations, I focused more on the skills than the stats. Some abilities are very very important. For example, Bormin's charge is very useful because it will disable an enemy for two turns, thus allowing - for example - to take on a guy that you wouldn't be able to kill in one turn, without him alerting everyone else. Also Dux's and Farrow ability to disable robotic enemies is very important later on. Magnus mind control and Selma's root are helpful in some occasions but I pretty much always used Bormin, Dux and Farrow.
Other than that you also want some skills that increase your critical chance, like the ones that give you the bonus when you are on high ground or hidden.

As for the Pripp's artifacts, I really think the most important ones are (in order) the grenade damage, the EMP grenade effect extended for one turn and the +1 damage on all weapons. Once you have these I would go for the bonus 10% chance on mortal enemies and then on robotic enemies.
Keep in mind that you can reach some of Pripp's artifacts even without clearing the entire area. For example you can take the one in Scrapland without fighting the tank, Deathfinger and all the other guys.

If I can help with something else, please write me a private message or comment the solution.

Can confirm hard is not enough. I was relying on the description here and just reached Eden on Hard Ironmutant and the chievo didn't pop as the ingame achivement states Very Hard Ironmutant.

FYI, PC version has a bug which voids the very hard / deathless achievement if an enemy that's under Magnus' mind control dies. Apparently game registers that as a squad mate death. Does anyone know if the console version suffers from the same bug??

On TA 8 people have completed a very hard run on iron mutant, but only 4 have the achievement for having nobody die on VH & IM.🤔I want to dive in but its probably smarter to wait for a patch.

Looks like this is more broken than expected. I went through the whole game very aware of making sure I didn't kill an enemy under the effect of Puppeteer but when I reached Eden the achievement didn't pop. I can only assume that once you use Puppeteer the enemy gets counted as an ally even after the effect wears off so using Puppeteer at all will void the achievement.

Just wanted to relay a tip for healing during the Very Hard run that I stumbled upon during my current playthrough.

Bormin (and Farrow) have the Corpse Eater ability which allows them to eat corpses to heal. The unfortunate part is that you have to actually be in a battle to use this skill and we don't want to be wasting a turn healing when you could be dealing damage. I initially wrote it off because of this.

But, if you park Bormin next to a corpse and then go and initiate an ambush elsewhere on the map with another character you can then switch to Bormin, activate him, and use Corpse Eater without ever actually starting the fight or alerting the enemy. I basically slot Corpse Eater only to heal him up in these circumstances and then re-slot a battle skill before continuing.

Also, using Med-kits out of battle is a full heal as opposed to the standard 4 ticks during battle.

Ideally you won't be taking any damage due to stealth kills - but it is nice to have an option without using your limited count of Med-kits!

Also, another handy tip . . .

The LR78 is one of the strongest weapons in the game and you can get it fairly early (levels 25-30). Once you're in the Metal Fields, which is south of the Iron Serpent, you can run across into the Cultlands and then the Grogg Den. The enemies in these zones are too tough for you right now, but you can avoid any encounters and sneak to the chest to end up with an end-game weapon you can power up early!

Can anyone confirm whether or not reprogramming the robot in Lair of the Horned Devil would void the achievement? I want to do this for the 100% Old Skool achievement but am afraid that by reprogamming and then having it be destroyed it would void this achievement similar to the mind control issue.

One thing I have discovered is if you characters are on a single health point, you can un equip and re equip their armour to bump them up to 1+ the armour bonus- isn’t a huge deal, but can buy you a turn or two on fire :)

When are the Achievements supposed to unlock? I enter Eden, and nothing happens. I run to the end to finish, and nothing happens after the credits.

I was going for all 3 Iron Mutant Achievements, and none of them unlock when I finish the game, not even the one for doing it on any difficulty. I have used the reload method several times. Am I missing something?

The issue is now resolved, but I did that. I recovered a save before entering Eden, I re-entered Eden, and finished the game, several times. And it appeared nothing happened.

I checked again today, and the final four Achievements showed up under Recent Achievements, even though the Achievement count was showing 32/36. The Achievements seem to have unlocked silently. TA is showing that I unlocked them yesterday, but that I completed the game today. A bit odd, but at least they unlocked.

Thanks for responding.

Just a tip as I recently completed this myself. Focus on just going to the objective area, don't go to unecessary spots unless you're trying to get an artifact/weapon. Most areas you can also skip all the enemies if you sneak by correctly. The last few areas I had skipped most of the enemies besides some mandatory fights. When I entered Eden for the achievement I was only level 35, so you have an idea of how much I avoided. I did'nt fight any Tanks on this run except the mandatory tank at the last fight. If you take your time getting 1 enemy at a time with the right build you'll be fine, I only took damage in the last fight.

Finished the game yesterday and only got the Not a myth & Pfft! Too easy achievements. Was playing on Iron Mutant. As far as I could tell both my health and skill didn't regenerate/reset after combat and I couldn't manually save. I did however us Magnus' mind control on several enemies so I'm wondering if this voided the achievement? Any thoughts?

Thanks for crediting me in your solution, I also just saw that trick with the synced cloud-save, maybe It can save me in my new playthrough.

To add a few notes: I usually used Bormin / Dux / Selma because Bormin and Selma both have the Twitch Shot ability, which means they can shoot twice on a target. I used this skills almost every time for those pesky Tanks and human Bosses (Grey One for example).

And for Robos: When you reach the metal fields and recruited Farrow be sure to remove her 50% Robo-Stun from her shotgun. By equipping this (i always used Dux) to one of the silent weapons you could have all 3 silent weapons with 30% / 50% chances to stun robots, which makes controlling them very easy.
And if you can't finish them in the 2 rounds you can still use an EMP grenade.

And when you reached the Metal Fields - make sure to rush to the Grogg Den (just stick on the right side of the next territory) after Metal Fields) and pick up the artifact there. If you picked up all artifacts before you can unlock the +1 weapon damage by this time, which makes the game alot easier since you can kill almost all 24 HP enemies within 1 round with all 3 silent weapons upgraded to Lvl 3.
Dux usually does a crit (he should have 100% crit chance when hidden), which makes up for a 10 crit + 7 +7 from the other silenced guns.

When you can't avoid an open fight (like the 3 guys required for Lux's key or the Plutonia fight) i usually mind controlled a hunter with Magnus, so you can concentrate fire on the strongest enemy (like the Tank) while they kill each other.

And for Lair of the Horned devil - when you rescue Hammond you should find a Hat with +2 grenade damage. Equip this and with the +4 greanage damage from the artifacts you can kill the 2 hunters in front of the artifact with 3 grenades which makes this fight a little easier as well.

Hm...not sure about the skulls! They should be there. They show when each ability is available. You know, another guy said there are no skulls in his game, although he was playing on very hard. He got the achievements, though. I don't know, maybe they updated it, and now the skulls are not showing? I have to check on my game.
Some of the skills are always available at the start of a battle, simply because, they need one kill to recharge. Look carefully, if absolutely all skills are available at the start of every battle, you are not playing on very hard. Btw, just try to use them all to see. Sometimes it's a little bit hard to tell if ability is available, and may seem so, when it's, actually not.

And, most importantly, can you save manually? If you are playing on very hard, manual save should be disabled. The game only auto saves. So, check this too!

So anyone going for this achievement as of April 15th 2019 if a mind controlled enemy gets killed IT DOSE NOT VOID THE ACHIEVEMENT! Also if one of your characters goes down and you can finish the battle BEFORE they bleed out, it won’t void the achievement! Used this trick a couple of times when I was running low on med kits. I hope this helps anyone trying for these achievements:) happy hunting y’all :)

As of (8/17/2019) this still works 👍

Start up a DLC game (iron mutant, very hard) using the preset Stalkers. Once you have control, go to the menu and travel to Eden (down and to the right of the DLC starting area).

Travel to Eden.

Once the level loads, your trophy pops.

At the moment, on December 16th in version 1.04, the trophy is buggy. If you play as Magnus and use his Mind Capture ability, you won't get a trophy, so don't take him to your team. You can bleed, this does not affect the trophy in any way.

Patch 1.06 from December 19 fixed the problem! Now the game before entering the Ark simply checks to see if all the mutants are alive in the team.

By the way! The trophy did not drop for some people in early versions of the game due to Magnus's Mind Control skill. If during the game you took control of an enemy and killed him while he was still under your control, the game counted this as a loss in the squad.

If you have a version with DLC, then you can start a new game not from the beginning, but with the DLC, choosing the Iron Mutant. As soon as you spawn, open the map and move to Eden, you will receive a trophy for the iron mutant ( Still too easy!!! / Still lightness!! ) as well as a trophy for saving all characters ( QA have suffered! / Let the testers suffer! )

If one of your heroes “falls” in battle, then you have several moves to “raise” him.
It is not necessary to treat immediately (unless, of course, the situation requires it), the main thing is to finish the battle before the mutant bleeds to death. In case of victory, the character will be reborn with 1 health cell. This does not affect the achievement in any way. The game before entering Eden checks to see if all the characters are alive in the team.
I also want to add that it is possible to take enemies under control of Marcus. Yes, and the door to Eden opens normally.
These problems have been fixed with patches.

I advise you to go through the game first on easy/medium difficulty, notice the places that may cause difficulties and develop tactics for them.

Either the trophy is buggy or the description is incorrect.
Perhaps, to obtain it, you also need to avoid the “bleeding” state and take control of your opponents’ minds, because the game begins to consider them as “its own”.
