How to unlock the Medal Chaser achievement in MX vs. ATV Alive - Definitive Guide
on devils playground head towards the ship at speed,theres water to your left and some big dunes just to your right,hit the big one in the middle(you cant miss it),I was on a bog standard 250cc MX and got over 4 seconds of hang time,which is a gold medal challenge.

couldn't get the hang time(3.89) ... first hidden vehicle was the key. plus one

Without a doubt the absolute best way to score a gold medal is is to find the hidden bonus vehicle. You get a gold for simply locating it. Both maps have one, but let's take a quick look at the devil's playground vehicle. Start by driving south, between the two rocks, turn right, follow the path up the hill. You will see a path through the cliff face. Take that and you'll find an ATV. You will need to end the session for the medal to be awarded.
You get a gold medal for finding one of the hidden vehicles, so if you go for one of those first you will probably never look at this solution

The Play Rides achievement in MX vs. ATV Alive worth 60 pointsFind the bonus vehicle in all of the Free Ride events
In free ride press , and then press to cycle to your challenges. Get a gold medal in one of the five challenges for this achievement. If you find the bonus vehicle, this achievement will unlock automatically. For vehicle locations see “Play Rides.”
The easiest gold medals to earn are for finding the hidden vehicles in each Free Ride although this trophy can be done on any challenge. Refer to "Play Rides" for videos that show you how to find the vehicles.
