How to unlock the At the top achievement in MXGP 2020 - The Official Motocross Videogame - Definitive Guide
All game modes in MXGP 2020 give exactly the same XP. In all modes you will earn 30,000xp for the win, 10,000xp for the holeshot & 20,000xp for no rewind. Difficulty, assists & race length have no impact on the amount of XP earned so feel free to make it as easy and as short as you like (the shortest race is 3 minutes +2 laps).
The most efficient way to earn XP in MXGP 2020 is to create a custom championship as you also get XP for wining it. Winning a four race custom championship will give you an additional 60,000xp.
For efficiency I would recommend not playing the career at all as each Grand Prix consists of two races. Instead, create a custom championship (minimum of 4 races) making sure you pick-off all of the "Win a Grand Prix at track name in any game mode" achievements. Once you have all of these achievements you can create a custom championship using the very short custom track (10 seconds per lap) called "FAST CASH XP" created by ItchyFawn433243. Be sure to get the holeshot and avoid using rewind if possible for maximum XP.
Race settings for custom championship or quick mode GP:
Race Sessions: Only Race
Race Length: Quick (3 minutes +2 laps)
The total amount of XP needed for Prestige level 100 is 10,400,000 (credit to Knight Maximus for this info). Winning a 4 race championship with all bonuses will earn you 300,000xp. This equates to 35x 4 race championships (140 races).

The best way to go about this time wise is to do the custom championship until you have the 50 podiums, then go to time attack on the track listed in the solution you get 5K Xp per lap doing 9 to 10secs laps getting 500.000K Xp for 100 laps which does not take long at all not sure why this method is not listed in both solutions as it is the most efficient way to get Xp, not going lie it gets boring quick but yeah you can get level 100 very quickly this way.

Thank you UnawareBoss! Def best method. Also, if you aren't certain why this method isn't listed, why don't you post it yourself? If you want, I can post it with your credit.

So to start, this will be the last achievement you get so you should save this solution til you are only going for credits and XP.
Anyways this solution is an idle solution. If you want to finish it ASAP then racing championships is the way to go. If you want to get XP not playing at all then this is your solution.
Go to Time Trial, change the track to the third most liked map FAST XP, go through all the settings and start the Time Trial (to preface you might want to turn off vibration in your controller.) When the time trial starts, find something to hold your right trigger down and you are good to go the game will auto complete laps for you. The game as you go too far off the track it auto resets you back on it, you are looking around 50 seconds a lap as opposed to 10-11 playing but this is also the best solution because it requires not having to drive on the same track for 10 + hours to finish the game, it also gives you credits because you get credits from leveling up.
Once you hit 100 laps the game stops giving you xp for completed laps, so just quit out of the race and everything saves.

Time Trial is the way to go on „Fast XP“ track. It is very important to underline, that you don‘t get more XP after lap 100. Did 200 laps and still got 500k xp (=100 x 5000xp).
