How to unlock the First Love achievement in My Time at Sandrock - Definitive Guide

Ok, so like the real world; people will like you if you pay attention to them. So in this game you get social points for speaking to them, gifting, playing critters, going on playdates etc. You can monitor your progress on the Social Tab in the game menu. There you will see hearts, that means your relationship status like: Associate, buddy, friend, BFF or lover.

In my case I was focusing on Amirah because she is pretty and makes pottery. So i was gifting her Gold, Fluorite and Blood stone all the time. (You get gold from killing rats in the mine) Making sure I rotated the gifts because she would complain about getting the same, the social score would be lower! After some time I got 6 hearts, but she would still refuse my heart knot which you can buy it at the general store.

Her excuse was she was working and not ready for a relationship. But after some dialog I still got a side mission. The mission was going on a date 4 times in a month and getting #1 workshop at the same time. After that she came to my workshop and we kissed romantically and I got the achievement. Now continuing for the “I do” achievement for getting married. Damn this gamelaugh

I was BFF with a maxed heart gauge when I completed the quest, and I was instantly lover status with Amirah. So I proposed and she said yes and I got the marry achievement right after this. Worked great, and good choice. The other girls I was interested in you have to be pretty deep in the story to marry. Considering there aren't any late game achievements that's not good.

Romantic relationships can only be established with those characters who have hearts instead of stars in the “relationships” tab in the journal. To receive it you need to do the following:
  • Raise your relationship with a character to 4 stars;
  • Buy a wicker heart from Arvio's store;
  • Give a wicker heart to the chosen character.
Before you give a heart, make a save, as the character may refuse. In this case, just load the save and repeat the process, usually the third or fourth time everything will work out.

You can develop romantic relationships with a number of characters through a series of their unique quests at any star level and without purchasing a wicker heart. For example, you can do it with Unsur.
