How to unlock the Who Ya Gonna Call...? achievement in My Time at Sandrock - Definitive Guide

Ghost Hunting takes place during the Day of Memories - an annual festival that takes place on the 27th of Summer

To register for the event, head to the booth in Martle's Square (outside City Hall) between 08:00 and 20:00 (the event itself starts at 20:00)

Ghost Hunting is divided into two rounds: Ghost and Ghost Hunter

Ghost
Phase One: The ghosts are tasked with finding a hiding spot. The ideal hiding spots tend to be beside/beneath objects towards the edges of the zone, and next to objects that blend in with your disguise

Prior to hiding, players should collect as many badges as possible, as this will give you a significant boost

Remember: if you're not hidden before the time runs out, you are automatically disqualified

Phase Two: Remain hidden... there's not much you can do during this phase as moving around increases your chances of being caught

For the victory in this round, you have to remain unhidden for the duration of the phase

Ghost Hunter
Phase One: Play the arcade game (bubble shooter) in the tent to earn more Detectors

Phase Two: During this phase, you're seeking out the hidden ghosts, which will wiggle (with sound effects) every few seconds

For the victory in this round, you only need to seek out and use your Detector on one ghost, so after you've uncovered your first ghost, focus on collecting badges

The achievement unlocks immediately if you top the rankings after the contest

There is a glitch which this event.

If the registration day is on the same day as a fireside, especially the food drive one, it won't let you register. So maybe hard save the game a day or two before.

Just wanted to throw in a tip for this event if you anticipate not being great at it (like me smile): this is a one-and-done event, meaning once you attempt it once you can't participate in the event again. Thus, I would suggest you make a save state for the event around 19:00 before the event begins. Once the event begins, you can't save the game (it's not a traditional start menu when you start the event). Otherwise, you'll have to wait a year before the event starts again.

Hope this helps! (:
