You can get this achievement in about a minute.

Start a new game in Classic (1993 Myst) mode.

Run into the library. Interact with the fireplace to open it, then go inside and press the red button.

Input this sequence:
Press the red button again; if done properly, an alcove will open behind you revealing a green book. Interact with it to open it, then interact with it again to be transported to D'ni. Approach Atrus to trigger his bad ending and pop this achievement.

First of all follow the Firecracker achievement and make sure you DO NOT have the white page. When the wall opens behind you after solving the puzzle a book will be there, when opened Atrus will begin talking, just click on him and you will be in D’ni with him. The achievement will unlock after he has spoken to you.

NOTE this ends the game but instead of starting from the beginning, just load your last auto save and you’ll be in the fireplace with the book again.
