How to unlock the Reaching the Light achievement in NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 - Definitive Guide

There's no secret but usual fight in the first and third battle.

SECOND BATTLE
His moves will change in each match, but here's what you can do when he uses each of his abilities:

Punch Combo
Evade by jumping or running around and after his third punch use chakra dash (Y + A) and BBBBBBBB.

Black Energy Balls
Don't dash into him, evade and use X or Y + X. That's absolutely his favorite move.

Spin
Run to the right, after him. After he dashes to your side, go left - not in front of him, of course.

Drill
Just run and when he sets an attack position jump or press RT to quickly evade. When he "gets on fire" it means that his next move will cause some earthquake. Between his attacks you can keep using X, but be careful, sometimes, right after the third and final attack, he will quickly use some other move.

Assault Dash
Just jump to the side or run.

Scyte Shit
That's when I wanted to stop being a Naruto fan. Just use Y + X or X, use ranged attack only.

Beams
Just go far away and keep using X.

Super Beams
Go left and keep jumping it.

Okay, when he has two health bars left there will be a quick QTE.

QTE
Y

Whenever he falls, dash to him and BBBBBB.
In his last health bar, there will be a QTE.

QTE
Mash B
A
Mash B
B in the diamond

And we're done!

The scythe actually just needs to be blocked (RT while still) and then he is open for an attack after!

Took me ages to do this. Really helpful tip for this one is to jump and then press Y+X and do a jumping shuriken throw, this makes you stay in mid-air a bit longer. Really helps for the spin part and the super beams

Chapter: The United Front

This is an S Rank trophy where you'll need to complete "Filling a Hole of the Heart" with an S Rank completion. In order to achieve an S Rank you must complete the battle with the following:

  1. 90% or higher Health
  2. 90% or higher IA Completion Ratio
  3. Never used a Continue

This S Rank trophy is broken down into three parts. The first two parts are both Boss Battles, but the third part is a Free Battle. Below, you'll find information and strategy on how to achieve the S Rank.

Risking the Future

The first battle will be Naruto and Sasuke vs Obito. Obito has a much higher Health bar than you. The best method to win is as soon as the battle begins, use Naruto's Super Mini Tailed Beast Bomb [Chakra Load + ], then quickly switch to Sasuke with . With Sasuke, spam his Ultimate Jutsu Inferno Style: Susano'o Flame Control [ ] and recharge your Chakra by holding when you're low on Chakra. Rinse and repeat the Ultimate Jutsu spamming and you should have no problems winning the fight while maintaining 90% of your Health bar. Remember, you can use Naruto as support by pressing the or buttons.

Ninja Dreams, Lonely Dreams ~ Part 1

This is another hard S Rank battle and it's Naruto and Sasuke vs Obito while in Awakening forms. Thankfully, there are two different phases to this fight in a odd way. In the first part you'll need to do your absolute best to try and dodge every single attack that Obito throws out at you while maintaining over 90% of your Health. Whatever Health bar meter you have from the first part of this fight will end up carrying over to the second part, so if you mess up on the second part of this battle you can just press and "Retry". This will bring you right back to the start of second part with the same Health you had started out with.

Now, the best way to deal with Obito is to run around the battlefield and shoot at Obito with while controlling Naruto. Use Sasuke only as support for this battle with or . Eventually, you'll see Obito get stuck on the ground with his attacks, this is a good opportunity for you to get in close and use Kurama's Claw Attacks [ ] to deal massive damage, then back off him. Remember to recharge Chakra whenever you're running low to keep on firing at Obito. Keep your distance between him and yourself so you can long range as much as possible. Additionally, you can also use Wind Style: Rasen Shuriken [Chakra Load + ] to deal a good amount of damage from a distance, however, this technique should only be used while you're not vulnerable. Using it at the wrong time will cause you to get hit by Obito because you're leaving yourself wide open for an attack. Remember to use the button to jump away from Obito if you feel like he's too close to you. Jumping away is also a good way to dodge some of Obito's attacks.

On the second phase of this fight, Obito will get more aggressive. He'll start doing a Pyramid like attack that will slam down into the ground (he does this move three times in a row), the third landing will create a huge shockwave. Try to avoid these attack as the ground will light up red on where Obito will land the attack. Do not get in melee range of this technique, instead keep shooting Obito with while using Sasuke every now and then for support attacks. If Obito comes at you with a Scythe like attack you need to dodge his attacks by keeping jumping away from him with . Jumping will enable you to avoid being hit by the Scythes. After dealing enough damage to Obito, do the following Interactive Actions to move onto Part 2. If you're not 90% or higher in Health before starting this part. You need to redo Part 1 of the fight over again and I recommend you do it perfectly, so you'll have room for error on Part 2.

Interactive Actions Sequence

  • so Naruto and Sasuke will merge their powers to create Kurama's Majestic Attire: Susano'o armor

Ninja Dreams, Lonely Dreams ~ Part 2

This is part 2, but the exact same battle. Your Health bar from the first part carries over with you to this battle. So if you had over 90% from the first part, then you're good to go. However, if you're like at 90-93% and you get hit here, you might find this frustrating. That is why it is recommended that you do part one perfectly before tackling the second part. Thankfully, this fight is similar to how you needed to dodge in the first battle. It's recommended that you do the exact same thing of running around on the battlefield while shooting at Obito with . Additionally, you can now use Inferno Style: Rasen Shuriken [Chakra Load + ] to deal some decent amount of damage to Obito, however, it's best to use the move whenever you're not vulnerable to an attack. Using this technique will leave you wide open to Obito's attacks. Whenever you see Obito get stuck in the ground from attack, get up close and personal to use Majestic Attire: Shockwave [ ] to deal massive damage. The last thing to lookout for is when Obito does his Beam like attacks, these are easily dodgeable if you're constantly running. When he does the spinning beam attack though, you need to jump over the beams. While you're jumping don't stop shooting at Obito with because you can still inflict damage towards him while you're focusing on dodging the beams at the same time. After taking Obito's Health bar down to roughly 40%, you'll need to finish the Interactive Actions that follows:

Interactive Actions Sequence

  • Mash repeatedly to clash with Obito's attack
  • to jump towards Obito
  • Mash repeatedly to clash with Obito's Sword of Nunoboko
  • Press when the lines enter the squared shaped symbol that in the center of the screen.

"Obito Uchiha"

This is the final part of the battle and it's a Free Battle. This is a single battle of Naruto vs Obito, however, you're still unable to use Ultimate Jutsu and Obito has a much higher Health bar than you do. The best method is to use Chakra Dash [Chakra Load + ], and then combo with the basic combo, but before you finish the combo follow up with another Chakra Dash to keep the combo spamming going. Recharge your Chakra back up whenever you knock your opponent back. Additionally, you can also abuse Naruto's Rasengan [Chakra Load + ] to deal some damage as well as gain some distance between you and Obito due to the Rasengan's knockback abilities. Furthermore, you can perform the Massive Rasengan [Chakra Load + hold ] as this technique will end up dealing massive damage to Obito if you manage to hit him with it.

The second fight will make you sweat, Kurama versus Obito, and then teaming up with Sasuke's Susanoo. In the second phase, just after the merger, Obito begins to shoot beams from his hands. It is not difficult to dodge the diagonal beams, but once or twice during the battle he can start spinning in the center of the arena, emitting beams. And here there is either a bug, or it’s intended to be this way, but: if you hold down while jumping , then the character will fall slower, and at the same time inflict a little damage on the opponent by shooting tailed beast bombs. You will have to jump like this 4 times.
I didn’t notice anything else particularly difficult in this fight, but these rays can really ruin your nerves when trying to get the S rank.
