How to unlock the Trail of the Gale Master achievement in NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 - Definitive Guide
Firstly you'll need to complete the main quests to unlock all of the available sub quests; see my guide for
There are 10 sub quests in total and are shown on the map as blue scrolls, tracked parts are shown with blue flags
Guy - (In wheelchair on bridge in Konoha) : Unlocked from the start.
This is probably the most difficult one to complete, you'll be tasked with travelling the map defeating his 'Hot-Blooded Network'. A set of ten increasingly difficult battles against boosted characters. Check your key items in the Inventory to see where the battles take place. Rank 1 is pretty easy but each rank gets a boost to atk and def of 10% making the later battles difficult.
Ebisu - (Outside Item shop in Konoha) : Unlocked from the start.
This sounds worse than it is, Ebisu will give you the '50 ninja tasks' however only 15 of them are needed to complete the quest. The tasks can be viewed directly from the pause menu and are mostly quite basic cumulative tasks. Walk x number of steps, Help x number of people (the extra quests like find the cat, shown by the green scroll on the map) etc.
Bee - (Near Naruto's house) : After delivering the letter to Garra
Collect all 54 Memory Fragments, this dosen't require you to actually play them so not a difficult quest, just a long one. Some fragments are gained though the main quests so you'll need to finish this first to gain access to all of them. The rest are found throughout the map (shown on selection how many are available) and are collected by pressing to investigate the blue tear drop crystals. Not all are available from the start and more spawn in as you collect them (a notification will pop onscreen). Found shards can be accessed from the Pause menu and played again.
Konohamaru - (Starts in the playground in Konoha) : After returning from Wave
After returning from Wave if you head to the playground (middle left of Konoha) for a cutscene. Iruka then suggests going to talk to Konohamaru, who you'll find an the very top left of Konoha. A simple enough single battle against Konohamaru to complete this sidequest.
Iruka - (At the playground again) : After bringing Tsunade back, must've completed Konohamau's quest as well
Speak to Iruka for another battle, Naruto vs Iruka. Another easy one.
Tsunade - (Behind Ichiraku Ramen) : After bringing her back
Very simple mission this time, she needs 3 items
10 Gold Shuriken
20 Silver Kunai
30 Bronze Scroll
If you don't already have these go to the memory shards and check the bonus req, find an easy one (I personally had 29 scrolls at the time so found a battle with 'connect with Ninjutsu twice for 10 bronze scrolls). She'll give you a jewelled Kunai and tell you to find her later. Don't sell this to one of the Merchants that appear and offer you 100,000 for it, I don't know what would happen ^^
Shino - (loitering outside Ichiraku's) : After the final Valley and completing Iruka's quest
Asks for help 'finding a goal', head back to Iruka to start a hide and seek game. You'll need to find three kids cloaked as pots, the first is behind you next to Ino. The other two are both on Main street, one outside the Cafeteria that will drop a note 'Mabo's orders' and Mabo himself on the corner next to the Main street quick travel. When you first speak to him he'll refuse to uncloak without the password. Return to the other kids to be pointed to the graveyard, collect the note on the grave and count the graves for the password (64) return to Mabo and pick the correct number to complete the quest. Once this is complete you can speak to the Kids again to start a non-tracked jar hunt around the entire world map.
Tsunade - (Outside Chunnin Exam) : After completing her previous task and the main Final Valley a note will be delivered at some point.
This unlocks the World Ninja Tournament rank D, you'll only need to complete rank D to finish the quest though. Assuming you haven't sold the jewelled Kunai it acts as your entry ticket (if anyone sold it and can tell me what happens it would be appreciated). The match is quite simple as its essentially a two match Survival battle.
Hanabi - (Hiding behind poles along Main street) : after finishing all main quests
You'll need to find her 4-5 times along the main street before you find her stood infront of the gates to the Hokage mansion. Speak to her for a series of Handicap battles.
Normal battle
No Ninjutsu
No Secret Techniques
Sai - (Outside Cafe in Konoha) : After completion of Main Quests
Series of battles as Sai reminisces on an overhead conversation.
Young Naruto vs Sasuke
Young Naruto vs Kiba
Naruto vs Chouji

I am also incredibly curious to know what happens if you sell the Kunai to the peddler that you need to start the tournament.

As mentioned in Trail of the Gale Expert, this trophy is related towards completing all the Side Quests in "Trail of the Gale." This can only be done in Adventure Mode. Some of these Side Quests you might have already completed just by playing through the Main Events. There will be a few that you need to go back and complete because new Side Quests become available as you finished the Main Events.
The following is all the Side Quests in "Trail of the Gale":
- Hot-Blooded Network [Client - Guy, on the bridge]: Complete the "Hot-Blooded Sparring" at all 10 locations and then report back to Guy. These 10 locations are all marked on the World Map and range from levels 1-10. To complete this sidequest, find and defeat all the Hot-Blooded Comrades. The locations of the Hot-Blooded Comrades is also listed on the Hot-Blooded Comrade Location Note item. If you set the the Event Navigation to [Hot-Blooded Network], the locations of the Hot-Blooded Comrades will appear on the map, represented by a Blue Flag. Additionally, the Hot-Blooded Comrades will get stronger depending on the Level you face. For example, they will get +10% ATK and DEF increase for their current Level. Level 5 will be at +50% ATK and DEF, Level 8 will be at +80% ATK and DEF, and Level 10 will be at +100% ATK and DEF, etc.
- The 50 Ninja Tasks [Client - Ebisu, near the Hidden Left Gate area]: Complete at least 15 of Ebisu's 50 Tasks, and report back to him afterwards. The 50 Ninja Tasks measure your character's abilities in a variety of different tasks, such as the number of steps taken, number of items destroyed, number of items touched, number of items inspected, number of times you helped people, number of Battle Arcs completed, number of Favor Arcs completed, etc. You can check the Task List to view your completion progress. Completing these different tasks will earn you rewards. However, you only need to complete any 15 out of the 50 to complete the Side Quest. When you finished the 15th one, return back to Ebisu and talk to him to finish the quest.
- A Journey to Collect Memories [Client - Killer Bee, Left Village Residential Area]: Killer Bee is using various memories as inspiration for his new rap. Collect all the Memory Fragments hidden around the World Map and report back to Killer Bee. If you have this event you'll be able to see the Memory Fragments on the World Map, so they're easy to find. You don't need to fight or complete the mission inside the Memory Fragments once you picked them up. All you need to do is obtain them all, so there is no need to do fighting. There's a total of 54 Memory Fragments altogether and once you obtained the last one. Report back to Killer Bee and he'll create new rap.
- The Hidden Leaf Stands [Client - Iruka, Hidden Leaf Park]: Some children gathered in the Hidden Leaf park. As Naruto is now the hero who saved the Ninja World, he became even more popular. This causes Konohamaru's feelings to become even more complicated. In order to put him at ease, talk to Konohamaru and defeat him in battle to complete the Side Quest.
- The Waves of the New Generation [Client - Iruka, Hidden Leaf Park]: Go tell Iruka, who's near the Hidden Leaf Park that you were able to put Konohamaru at ease. This will lead to Naruto to jokingly ask for a sparring match, but surprisingly enough, Iruka is up for it. Simply defeat Iruka to complete this Side Quest.
- The Way of a Teacher [Client - Shino, Hidden Leaf Park]: Talk to Shino at the Hidden Leaf Park to find out what his problem is. Help Shino find a new path that will allow him to help people in ways other than simply fighting. This ends up with him getting wrapped up in a search for some Ninja Academy students. In order to find the last student, Mabo, follow Yuki's clue and investigate suspicious spots by completing the game of Hide and Seek. This game is Invisibility Cloak where you'll need to find Mabo's friends hiding in the pots that be moving in the Hidden Leaf Village. The last clue is a code which can be found in the Graveyard by counting the number of graves (64 is the answer).
- The Debt Repayment Princess [Client - Tsunade, near Ichiraku]: Tsunade's incurred another debt and asks for Naruto's help. Help Tsunade by paying off her debt. You must then give her some Ninja Treasures items to finish the requirements of this Side Quest. These are the items you get after fighting. When you meet the requirements, return to Tsunade and as a thanks, she'll give Naruto the Five Great Villages Sign Kunai, which can be used to enter the Ninja World Tournament later on in Adventure Mode.
- The Ninja World Tournament [Client - Tsunade, Chunin Exam Hall]: By helping Tsunade pay off her debt, kill some time by doing other Side Quests or tasks until a cutscene triggers and Tsunade contacts Naruto again. When this happens head to the Chunin Exam Hall and talk with Tsunade. She'll want Naruto to enter The Ninja World Tournament and clear the easiest rank, Rank D. After beating Rank D with flying colors the Side Quest will be completed.
- My Sweet Older Sister [Client - Hanabi, various places]: Someone has been watching Naruto from the shadows (Hanabi), so in order to get them out of hiding in the Hidden Leaf, try talking with them. You'll need to find her three times and then Hanabi will get angry and challenge Naruto to a battle. Defeat her three times in a row to complete this Side Quest.
- Angles and Demons [Client - Sai, in front of Amaguriama]: Talk to Sai and you'll need to complete some Memory Battles. After the last battle, the Side Quest will be completed.

To get this trophy, you need to select in the menu - Adventure Mode - this is a journey through the world of the game, familiar from previous parts of the series - with completing quests - your task is to complete all the additional ones, about 10 -12.

The quest, which includes 50 mini-tasks, requires only 15 from the list to complete it. And also memory fragments are quite easy to collect and not go through them.
