The patch, which was released on 2/19/2014, makes this achievement obtainable. Previously it would not unlock upon completing your first season.
If you want this fast and easy, simply go into career and go in to "Schedule." From there, scroll all the way to the bottom and then hit "A" to simulate the season. It will unlock after the season has been simulated and you're at the driver standings screen. But if you are going for the win Sprint Cup achievements, this step is not needed.

Self-explanatory, just finish up your first season. You could technically simulate the entire thing and still receive the achievement, but it would be silly not to go for the championship win to receive the other achievements.
