How to unlock the Points Collector achievement in NASCAR 14 - Definitive Guide
For the sake of argument, if you were to start the chase with just 2,000 points (no wins), you would need an average finish of 4-9th every single race depending on how many laps you lead and how many races you win during those 10 races.
A 1st place finish nets you 43 points. You get one bonus point for leading a lap, one bonus point for leading the most laps, and three bonus points for winning the race. What you do in the first 26 races does not really matter for this achievement, but as stated, each win gives you a 3 point bonus to start off and you need 400 points total in the final 10 races.
You cannot earn this achievement in “Chase for the Cup” mode, it has to be a full season of career or single season.
At the beginning of the final 10 races, the top ten drivers start over with 2,000 points and then get 3 points added for every win during the first 26 races. If you spend your career doing nothing but winning, you can start the season with up to 2,078 points!
