How to unlock the Star Driver achievement in NASCAR 14 - Definitive Guide

The All-Star Race in Charlotte, NC appears in career mode after race 11 (Kansas) as the 13th event of the season.

There are 3 sessions.

The first is practice, which can be skipped.

The second is qualifying which is different from the regular season races. It's based on a total time over 3 laps including a 4 tire pit stop. Watch the 45 mph pit road entry speed limit. This can be skipped as well if you like.

There are 5 stages in the race. The winners of the first 4 stages are placed in the first 4 spots for the 5th and final stage. If you go with a 20% race distance there are only 18 total laps. The 5th and final stage will be just 2 laps.

The All-Star Race is a non-points race that comes after Kansas Speedway (event 12). The race itself is a bit complicated if you’ve never seen it, but I will try to explain it.

Qualifying: This event has a unique qualifying method. You must run 3 complete laps and make a four tire pit stop. If you wish to skip this, simply avoid pitting when your crew chief tells you. If you are on easy difficulty, then you should have no trouble at all winning the race without having to qualify first.

The Race: The event itself is split into five segments. The first four are basically the same, and each winner or highest finishing driver (if a repeat winner in a segment) start the field in 1st-4th position during the final segment. You have to choose 20% length minimum, but it doesn’t take long and the final segment is very short.

Should you fail for whatever reason, you can restart the race at any time from the pause menu, or even after the race is over. You can also simulate races all the way up until this event, so it isn’t missable.
