In Career Mode, you earn money for completing races. You can also earn extra cash from fulfilling contracts that pop up every few races. These contracts are straightforward and include things like good qualifying efforts and good finishes. You also earn more money for finishing well and for winning, which you'll be aiming to do anyway. Once you get to the Cup level, you will be earning plenty of money to unlock this achievement.
