To find the option for split screen, go to ‘Game Modes’ on the Main Menu.

I had a hard time finding it. I thought it was under ‘Play Now’ (quick play)

Looks like you also don't need to win- you just need to beat the other controller. I came in 2nd and got the ach (It did not count towards my win totals of course)
