This is gonna be a nightmare, I was one of the very lucky players that boosted the MT coins while we can. I ended up boosting 2million coins and still only got me roughly 200 cards. The best thing to do right now is buy the bronze pack since you get 3 bronze players and 2 items. Then when you have about 10-20 bronzes left or you just only keep getting doubles move to the teams. This is the worst part cause you can either get every card you need on the first try or you can be like me and have to 10 packs to get your last one. I have figured that you might have to spent 1000 hours playing legit to get enough coins so thats crazy. Make sure you check facebook and use the app on the phone to get free coins. I also didnt buy packs till I finished Domination since you get a free player. I will update the rewards as I go. They have also Patched Cartier Martin so I was able to obtain him. I would also save up for All-Star weekend cause I think they might have a nice sale :)

This is what I did:

1. Buy Bronze packs first, get to about 90%
2. Buy then move to the team packs
3. Sometimes I bought Silver Packs but only when I was down to 1-2 left to see if I pulled the one I couldnt get
4. Dont buy Gold packs they are a waste money, you can buy 2-3 team packs for the price of a gold pack.
5. This game opening pack system is completly random so dont get mad at the game get mad at 2K!!! LOL

I have 10 teams who only need 1 player but seems impossible to get those :( its allways duplicates !!!!! Hawks need 1 bronce player and i only buy bronce pack and wont get it !!!!! Maybe some day...

Beginning to feel there is something wrong with these packs !!!

Only way to complete all teams are to buy silver and gold packs also as there arent all team packs yet.

Fastest way to get vc is to simulate mygm with miami heat :) u get 800 - 1200 vc in 5 min.there is also roster lakerz which guarantee u max vc and all achs.

How exactly does knowing each teams reward help with completing the collection? A better idea would be to list all players and their card level (bronze, silver, or gold). This solution is the same as the Diamond solution...

The only player she didn't have was Duncan? So maybe he doesn't count. If you read my post the last card I needed all together was the gold Parker! Then I got him, 2 achievements popped! Since there is no guidelines from 2k no one really knows! I'm just clearly stating how I got him. And just a fyi this guide is to obtain all of the 13-14 roster not Iced! So thanks for the down vote over something I can't prevent or guarantee!

My freind got the achievement with not having Jrue Holiday. But since this game is glitchy to all hell maybe it unlocked different for everyone or maybe, just maybe since it says collect the NBA BEST! And the NBA best is all gold players that's how you get him!

New Emerald Packs are a good way to raise your colection guys. In 10 packs, you get like 2-3 emeralds if you are lucky. The good thing is that the other 7-8 packs give you a bronze or silver player. 12.800 MT for a pack that gives you a silver player is pretty good.

So let me get this right. First, they release a patch that not only glitches a few achievements but also half's the vc earned. Then they decide to add another load of cards to make the achievement harder. Finally to top it off, and for the fun of it, they increase the prices for packs straight after a sale. 2k are by far the worst developers ever. Never thought I'd prefer EA in my life

anyway, i can confirm emerald are easily included in the team packs, so you have to collect them no matter what.
there is also Emerald Lebron now, so the emeralds are now 27.

YEA! They are getting greedy. They still havent fixed the collector level The Goat I have been waiting since Febuary lol. And they wont reduce the price on the packs. 2 more months 2k15 will be out so they dont need to keep it at that price. but people are still spending money!!

And Lebron emerald was glitched the day it came out lol. one guy streamed and spent $140 just to get one card!! Holy Crap lol

you don't need arenas, coaches, playbook and jerseys (even if i think you will get all of them while running for the complete collection),

sapphire, ruby and diamonds are not needed because in the so-called chase cards collection.

emeralds do count unfortunately because in the bold movers section of the '13-'14 collection, but only if you unlock one of them (just like with historic teams). it seems that you can pull out emeralds also from normal team packs, so the chance of not finding even one of them is basically 0 according to other sources (i can confirm this as soon as i start opening team packs).

at the moment there are 26 emeralds i believe, because a 2nd set just came out. i really hope is still possible to find the old 14 emeralds otherwise we're all screwed.

It said both and I have both, so I can't confirm if they can be either or. But it did come up when I got 10 current roster. So I would assume you need both. I have every card that is historic other then the hawks which for some reason I can get on in the historic pack 1 and the new ones released today. I'm done buying the historic packs if they are gonna keep releasing them at have them be 6k then drop to 3450 in two weeks and harder to get. I'm a huge fan of this model but its near impossible to get all the cards without spending cash. And they don't even have all the cards available. I'm gonna assume that the people that get this achievement had tons of cash and just drops like 3k into the game. I myself have spent a additional $200 from myplayer, mygm, and myteam and I'm maxed out. I dropped almost the same amount on halo 4 but I can play that all day long and get more enjoyment out of it. For you to play a 40minute game you get 5k reward! Packs are 16k+ which means you need to play 2hrs to buy one pack. Then you'll end up getting doubles!!!!

I spent nearly 500k MT coins to complete Brooklyn and Miami alone!!!

I have one bronze player on the Hawks that for the life of me I can't get. I have must of bought 100 bronzes packs and at least 30 hawks packs and nothing lol. When you spend real cash you get a better value but then your wasting money!!

I honestly will complete this game but after this I'm done with games that require you to spend money!!!

Be for warned, I have 235 cards and I counted 449 cards that I was missing, not including any historic cards. I'm talking jerseys, playbooks, players, coaches, etc. Unless you feel dumping a ridiculous amount of money on this game I say forget this achievement....I'll never buy another 2K basketball game because of this BS.....

I think the '13-'14 Collection includes only players. For example most of jerseys are not from '13-'14 season.

Once you start a historic team you have to complete it. So if you start two you need to complete both in order to unlock the achievement. I screwed myself and have 5 historic teams to collect....I'm sure I'm in the $200 boat as well, which is insane! I might as well collect real cards...lol

This is exactly why every NBA 2K game will be ruined by the same terrible VC economy this game has. It's no wonder they patched the MyTeam Point exploit before the fixed any real issues like corrupt save files or crashing. Whatever happened to playing a game a naturally progressing. I don't know how many historic teams your started but you will need to complete all of the teams you have a player in for that historic team. If you started 5 historic teams you'll need to complete all 5 of them....

I have even worst news for you guys, I have all but 6 historic players, which 3 will be given for free once i get the one, I have 2 teams 100% including jerseys and items!!!

What happens is when you complete the team, lets say the 76er's then you unlock a special card and historic team - 2000-2001 76ers thats right. For some reason its not even showing that I have 2 teams completed either. I am hoping that you dont have to get all the historic cards for the team you unlocked to for it to register. I will let you know soon cause I plan on collecting all the Bucks and Bulls next. I also have 3 Saphire players and cant seem to find out what the rest of them requirements are.

I have dumped $200 into this game already, $20 into MyPlayer, $40 into MyGm and $140 into the cards. I am having a blast collecting them but for you to afford to buy a pack for free you need to play 3 games online @ 40mins each!!! thats crazy!!!! I took my christmas bonus and wasted it on this game.

So I noticed recently they took out all out of the packs including silver, gold packs, nba packs. I am missing maybe 30 players for full set. Now they've taking everything out is there anyway for us to get this cheevo... IF there is can someone please let us know! I'm stuck at 98%!

Everything is really as scary as described above...

I can only add that when collecting cards, the most economical strategy is:

1. Buy only bronze sets (3000 vc each) until you collect 90% of bronze players (or until the number of repetitions drives you crazy))
2. Then proceed to finishing off individual teams (packs for 3750, 6000 and 10000)

Do not buy gold sets under any circumstances; for their price you can buy 2-3 team sets.
