How to unlock the The Power of Three achievement in NBA 2K14 - Definitive Guide

Go to options and turn 3 point success all the way up to 100. This will set the difficulty to "custom" but it doesn't matter what difficulty level you play on. Now go play a game in "quick game" mode and set the quarter length to 12 minutes. The achievement will pop on the 15th made 3 pointer. No need to wait till the end of the game for it to pop.

Credit to Cyp12 for letting us know that you cannot unlock this in MyGM mode.

It doesn't work in MyGM mode... I would guess it is quick game only, right?

I got it as soon as I went into quick game. Don't know if it glitches and gave it to me or if it is because I've played a lot of MyCareer and always hit more than fifteen 3 point shots a game and it just transferred it over.

You can do this in Any game mode (I believe). I did it in MyGM mode with the Heat during my season. I just kept putting up 3s until I made 15 of them. And the achievement popped in game as soon as I made my 15th shot.

Here is what I would suggest if you are struggling to get this. Pick a good team (like the Heat, Bulls, Pacers, Thunder, Spurs...) and play against a bad team (Bucks, Jazz, Lakers, 76ers, etc). And also go into the pregame settings. Adjust sliders that will help, like difficulty to Rookie, quarter length what ever you see fit, your teams shooting stats (3 pointers), steals, rebounds, speed, quickness, hustle, and anything else that you think will help. And then put the opposing teams stats down. Whichever you see fit to help. As long as YOUR shootings stats are boosted up, you should be fine for this one.

Then focus on getting your best shooters the ball and putting up some open shot.
With the quarters at max time and all those sliders in your favor, this should be a breeze for you.

Good luck.
