Hey guys, currently there is a really easy way to get myteam points by creating dummy accounts and selling the cards in the auction house. I made a video, its kind of long but once you do it a few times you get the hang of it. Using this method i completed the collection in less than a week and no money spent.

You only need to collect players for this achievement. Simply collect them all. Jerseys/stadiums are not needed.

once again, depends on the market, ive seen lebron go for 38k, ive seen him go for 80k. it was a progressive thing, i didnt buy all the cards at once so i have no clue. Plus i did domination first so i had a good chunk done from that.

server is terrible. I have yet to get a card i want on my main account from one of the dummy accounts because by the time i can actually search for it, someone else already bought it. typical 2k issues

not true eyedol, it takes 10-15 minutes for it to show up, u have to keep searching til that wave of cards comes up, u are giving up before its even posted. Do it in off hours, i probably only lost 2/150 cards i did this on.

ive waited long enough, but it seems like everytime the card should be showing up, i cant find any search results. Then by the time i am able to, the card is already sold. Im sure it will get better as i do it more. Ive given up on that for now and am just working my way through domination and using my dummy accounts to get credits. This is an excellent solution

ive got another question for ya, are there any teams you shouldnt finish off before you get the achievement for completing the historic collection? I remember last year some teams would give you historic cards and then you would have to finish that whole team. I havent really looked in to it yet so idk if its different

So what's the best thing to do with the MyTeam points? Buy specific players one at a time or buy packs? Is there one pack type in particular that seems to yield better results?

Right now there's a locker code that gives you a free 50/50 Legends/Current pack with a player in it. You can use it on all of your dummy accounts and get another player on all of them. The code is #FIFTYFIFTY2KLEGEND. Don't know how much longer the code will be valid.

Also when buying cards from yourself, if it isn't showing up for a really long time, try searching for just first or last name without selecting the player in the suggestion box. I was trying to buy Drew Gooden III from myself but he wouldn't show up. I searched for just Gooden and there he was.

How well does this still work? It seems like player prices are much lower now so it seems like the dummy account wont give you that much myteam points anymore.

prices will drop, but so will prices for everything else. The highest jordan is like 500k now tho, lowest is like 85k. Things are cheaper but that adds up fast

Eyedol, set your auctions for 550 or 600, it makes it a lot easier to pick up the cards you are trying for. I've been doing this sporadically while playing domination and I currently have 280 cards.....Listen to Markyshizzles tips and complete domination first. I've gotten several gold cards from it already....

Markyshizzle's method for making MT coins is great so use that to get the money to buy the cards. I made a spreadsheet that will help you keep track of which cards you have so you can refer to it while browsing the Auction House without having to go back and forth to your Collection. Just go to File and Make a Copy and save yourself a copy that you can edit. If you put an 'x' in the box next to the player's name, it will count up how many cards you have in each collection.

I apologize for any typos. Let me know if you find any and I will fix them.

You no longer receive 25k MT coins for completing the collections so that's 325k more MT you'll have to make on your own to complete the collection. Good luck!

Are logos or playbook required for this achievement? Cause I only see player name on the list.

No, logos, playbooks, coaches, etc. are not required for this achievement. Only the bronze, silver, and gold players under each team. None of the sapphires, onyxes, or other special color players are required either.

EDIT:

It looks like 2K has patched this method and you now get a Sapphire card for completing teams instead of 25,000 MT. I'll leave this solution here to keep the comments open in case anyone finds another method.

All good man. I was using your list myself before I found this method. It might be worth it to wait for the prices to go down on some of the Historic gold players. A lot of them are really expensive.

Also you can still make 10-11k profit (after 15% x 2 being taken out) off of the Clippers. You just need to do them last or close to last because you'll need a little over 80k up front at current prices to buy them all. Still not a bad profit though even if it is lower than the 15-17k profit you make on the other teams.

Yeah I was initially skipping the Pacers as they can get expensive too. But I think it might be worth it to do both teams if for no other reason than to cut down on the number of dummy accounts you make. Who knows, Microsoft or 2K may get suspicious over that kind of thing. If you can take the extra time to do those two teams last instead of making 2-3 accounts per day it might be worth it.

I think they may have just shut this down with today's update. I just completed the Grizzlies and got a reward pack instead of the 25k. I went to the collection and here's what I saw, a spot for a card from all the 25k bonus teams.

Also, unlike the historical players you get as rewards from the non-25k bonus teams, you cannot sell the new reward players. WTF 2K.

It's been confirmed. This was a patch and this method is no more. People who have already completed the collections and gotten the rewards get the sapphire players retroactively, so don't go back and try to buy them all again on your main account to try to get the new sapphires.

It's pretty much gotten to the point where you can get the majority of players for 500-1000 in the auction house. Obviously some go for more, but playing the games will actually get you enough points to grab a lot of people. I was able to get Westbrook and CP3 for 750 each

Yea with there being Legends Only packs now, we should be seeing more legends on the AH which should bring prices down theoretically. Also, you can avoid being charged the 15% penalty twice (once selling the cards back and again transferring the MT to your main account) by buying the cards on the dummy account and then selling them back to your main account. However, this is riskier and you could end up losing more than just 15% if an expensive card gets lost.

Unachievable due to server closure

This will probably be the most time consuming trophy in the list as it will require you to collect every NBA player. It may now be slightly easier and less time consuming than last year's game now with the auction house. A good strategy is to start off by collecting teams that reward you with MT instead of an historic player, then you can build your MT points (depending on how much you spend).

- The auction market can also be useful to find players for cheap, as well as finding players that you could flip (buy for cheap, sell for higher price).
- When buying packs, use VC instead of MT, if you want to save your MT points (although i recommend using MT for higher price packs), if you have some VC to spare.
- Playing domination and getting 3 stars gives you a silver or gold player.
- Challenges also give you some decent MT points and are not that difficult.
- If you have the team, try Road to the Playoffs, each new seed you enter gives you a pack.
