You can actually get this by simming. I was in my 3rd season though so if so I'm not sure if you can get this by simming the first 2 seasons but you probably can.
I signed with the rockets on that 10-day thing and finished the 2nd half of the season with them, then I played an entire season with the Lakers then I traded to the Clippers the next season but I simmed that entire season and I go the achievement in that one.

Which was your player's overall? It's impossible to be an all-stars simming if you are just a mediocre player...

Their is a method on how to use sliders in myCareer mode, it's best to do it with a new career incase your current one gets corrupted. This makes all the myCareer achievements really easy.

What you say in interviews and press conferences can also reflect your image that can either help or hurt your popularity. Much like Man of the People, you want to earn a lot of awards (player of the week/month) and endorsements that boost your popularity.
