This seems to have started unlocking for people as of October 9th. For me right now it is showing as... Done... unlocking. Hopefully this is fully fixed now.
You must be in your 2nd season to see connections and live practice.
The best way to get this is to play on rookie and play live practices. After getting up to gold badge, this will unlock. To unlock live practice, you will need to play or foul out of the previous games. Aim to do this in areas where there are 2-4 off days in a row.
Note that playing 5 in a row will also give you an attribute upgrade slot.

Hey guys, the gym rat badge is supposed to increase your stamina and other stats related to practicing... The badge is broken and the achievement is broken on Xbox One. I have also heard of it not working correctly on PS4.
